Rising Stars: Meet Amber Legare of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amber Legare.

Hi Amber, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Ever since I was a little girl, growing up in Charleston, SC, I’ve always enjoyed being in front of the camera , and knew one day I was going to be a model. It came natural to me. Dressing up and taking pictures was always my favorite thing to do ! Capturing my talent into pictures , has always been my way of expressing myself . Fresh out of high school I joined the Army, and did everything the complete opposite of what I wanted to do. Lol……but the military molded me into the confident, resilient woman that I am today. After I separated from the Army, and transitioned to the civilian life, I didn’t know what I wanted to do anymore. I was lost, drained, and confused about everything. So I took a leap of faith, and moved to Atlanta for a fresh start in life . That’s when I started networking, investing in myself, and taking my dream to model seriously. It wasn’t easy getting into the industry, but when you go after what you want, the right door will open for you. I feel as though my calling is to inspire others to walk in confidence , love themselves , and never give up on your dreams/goals.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There has been many challenges and struggles with my experience in modeling. It’s not just as simple as standing in front of a camera and snapping photos. There is a lot of creative direction, and energy put into every shoot I do. It can get physically tiring some days, where the different poses can leave you sore ! I’ve had plenty of photoshoots where I wasn’t feeling my best , and it definitely showed up in my work.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in lifestyle, fitness, and swimwear modeling.

I am most proud of completing my first commercial photoshoot for Confidante Galore’s hair company.

What sets me apart from others is that my work is versatile, and I can adapt easily in many different environments and settings due my military background . I also bring great energy and aura with me everywhere I go , which is why I’m so good at what I do !

What were you like growing up?
I was very outgoing , talkative , and independent . My mom called me her “Wild child” and my father called me “Polly the Parrot” because of how much I used to talk. Lol . I had fun being the life of the party , a jokester, and the one everyone enjoyed being around.
