Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Rose.
Hi Amanda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and worked as a dental hygienist for several years before taking a chance on a part-time social media role with a startup. What began as managing social media quickly grew into overseeing operations, events, and community outreach, eventually leading me into a corporate career managing memberships, conferences, and communications.
More recently, I started building my own personal brand, which has already created opportunities I never expected. Looking back, every major career move I’ve made started with taking a risk. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that growth happens when you’re willing to bet on yourself and stay open to new possibilities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Every time I’ve changed directions in my career, I’ve essentially had to start over, which can feel like a setback when you’ve already invested years building experience in another field. There have been moments of uncertainty and self-doubt, especially when stepping into roles where I had little formal training.
What has helped me is remembering that those transitions were leading me toward a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment. Looking back, the biggest growth in my life has come from being willing to take those risks, even when the path forward wasn’t clear.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
In addition to my corporate career, I’m a UGC and lifestyle creator based in Atlanta, Georgia. I create beauty, lifestyle, travel, and self-care content for both local businesses and international brands. I specialize in authentic short-form videos and photography that brands can use across social media and advertising campaigns.
What I’m most proud of is building a personal brand from the ground up and creating opportunities for myself through creativity and consistency. I think what sets me apart is my authenticity. I’ve worked with businesses of all sizes, but regardless of the brand, my goal is always to create content that feels genuine and relatable. There’s only one me, and I believe audiences connect with creators who stay true to themselves.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was leaving the career I spent years working toward.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and worked as a dental hygienist for several years. While I enjoyed it, I felt like I was meant for more. An opportunity came up to manage social media part-time for a startup company. I had no formal training, and both the company and I were taking a chance on each other.
That risk paid off. What started as social media management grew into a full-time career.
More recently, I took another risk by building my own personal brand. In just six months, it has created opportunities I never expected and shown me the value of investing in myself.
Looking back, if I hadn’t taken that leap, I never would have found a path I’m so passionate about. My biggest lesson is that growth often requires taking a chance on yourself.
