My name is Roshelle Rodney, and I am the owner of Roe Refined Rooms, an interior styling and event décor business based in Gwinnett County, Georgia. I’ve always had a passion for transforming spaces and creating beautiful environments that make people feel comfortable, inspired, and proud of their homes.
Before starting my business, I spent many years working in healthcare and administrative roles. Throughout that time, I was constantly redesigning rooms, organizing spaces, helping family and friends with decorating projects, and finding creative ways to make a room feel special without breaking the budget. What started as a passion eventually grew into a business.
I officially launched Roe Refined Rooms with a vision of helping people create spaces that reflect their personality and tell their story. Today, I offer interior styling, room refreshes, home staging, organization services, and event décor. From transforming a basement into a cozy living space to designing birthday celebrations and special events, I love helping clients bring their vision to life.
Building a business has come with challenges, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. Every project teaches me something new and allows me to connect with amazing people throughout the Atlanta area. My goal is to continue growing Roe Refined Rooms while staying true to our tagline: “Where Every Room Tells a Story.”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely has not been a completely smooth road. Like many small business owners, one of my biggest challenges has been building brand awareness and gaining consistent clients while balancing personal responsibilities and other work commitments.
Starting a business requires wearing many hats at once. I have had to learn marketing, social media, pricing, networking, customer service, and project management while also delivering quality results for my clients. There have been times when I questioned myself or wondered if I was doing enough to grow the business.
Another challenge has been learning how to invest in my business while being mindful of my budget. As a growing entrepreneur, every purchase and business decision matters. I’ve learned the importance of planning, staying organized, and focusing on long-term growth rather than overnight success.
Despite the challenges, each obstacle has helped me grow both personally and professionally. I’ve learned to be resilient, adaptable, and patient. Every project, client referral, positive review, and room transformation reminds me why I started Roe Refined Rooms in the first place.
Today, I view challenges as opportunities to learn and improve. The journey has not always been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding, and I am excited about what the future holds for my business.
