Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamilah (Peaches) Mahone.

Jamilah, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Well, I’ve been doing hair since I was 15 years old. Over the years of being a YouTube student lol I practice & self-taught myself how to do weaves and natural hair. I Didn’t really take interest into doing hair professionally till I was about twenty-one years old and at this point I had gone to college for physiology, business etc. and could never keep interest, then one day I literally sat to myself and told myself to stop playing and do what I love and that is Hair and from that point I start to build my portfolio & clientele.

By the time I turned twenty-two I gave my first opportunity to work in a shop in Stone Mountain at Salon Cokori and from there my career took off and landed me into working in one of Atlanta hottest Salon, Salon Ramsey. Although the journey hasn’t been easy I don’t regret any decision and look forward to what comes next for me in the hair industry and hope to one day be someone’s inspiration ❗️

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
everything I’ve had to learn and had to go through I don’t regret. One of the main things I learn is to never give up. I learned no matter what you’re always going to come across spiteful people but pay them, no mind and give all your attention to your clients & customers who truly support you because they are the ones that matter. It’s always going to be a sour one in a bunch never let that stop you from any goals you want to meet ❗️

My business name is Peach Hair Studio. I Specialize in weaves & natural hair. I mostly known for Lace Frontal & Closure installs but I do all weaves & natural hair.

As a company I’m most proud of its growth & the time frame it grew in and all the wonderful people I come across and slay.

I think what sets me apart from others besides my prices lol is the quality of my work, honesty and I don’t just “do your hair or weaves” I care for your hair as well.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
The only thing I can say I would do differently is starting professionally sooner than I did.
