Life & Work with Amanda Spitz of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Spitz.

Hi Amanda, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Growing up baking with women in my family, for special occasions. I loved the way homemade treats made people smile. Baking was a part of celebrating in our family.
Fast forward to having my own family, and I recognized the passion I have for baking cookies.
I love to bake everything. My specialty is sugar cookies. I use an old family recipe and cookie cutters from my childhood.
My specialty is sugar cookies, with an emphasis on decorate your own cookie kits and cookies for every occasion.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I truly have no complaints. You get what you work for.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Many call me the “cookie lady,” however, my name is Amanda Kay. I am the owner of kay sprinkles, a sugar cookie business.
I am a licensed baker and have been baking for over 15 years.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
The risk for me is putting myself out there, and making connections with new customers.
My business grows from word of mouth and support. I am constantly working on ways to gain more business.
