Life & Work with Ben “Swish” Fessahaye of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ben”Swish” Fessahaye.

Hi Ben, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started production and audio engineering in my hometown of Tampa FL in early 2020 and from that point I worked with the biggest and best artists in my area producing mixing and recording and also managing a couple studios simultaneously. Then in late 2025, i took a big risk and I relocated to Atlanta by myself in search of more opportunity and immediately got immersed in the music scene here where I was able to start working at Sony Music as an audio engineer.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
When you start from zero, nothing is smooth. Since nobody around me has pursued anything like this before, I really had to take the stairs and deal with everything that came with it to get to the point I’m at today.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a music producer, instrumentalist, mixing and recording engineer and I assist with songwriting. My specialty is post production and just completing a record to make it sound complete. I do whatever the record needs to sound it’s best. I would say that sets me apart from other producers because I can give an artist a full song from start to finish.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Recently I haven’t really been consuming much content but I have been watching the Defiant Ones about Dr Dre and Jimmy Iovine and I’ve been watching the Quincy Jones Netflix documentary repeatedly studying how he had the career he did.
