Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Rinehart.
Hi Mark, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Fashion and art have been apart of my life since I was really little. I was a shy kid but when I started drawing and performing it just felt like I could do anything. I loved fantasy and watching Britney’s tours and designing her outfits plus what I would put her in. It really was just escapism for me for a kid who was just really shy and trying to find my foot in the world. I went to school and really learned and studied everything and now I’m here.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s definitely hasn’t been easy but it has been a joy to see my progress and where I have come from to now. I worked three jobs at one point just to get myself to fashion week to just be an opener for the event and then things started to take off and then I had to take some personal time off and things got silent really silent! I lost my father and never thought I would do this again. However, I got a call and then rest has been history from here. Especially, just facing my fear to get back in it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m known for being a performer and making couture pieces that I believe you will have with you for the rest of your life. I’m known for my dress that bleeds on its own and taking risk on the runway. I’m most proud of all of my pieces in my collection! It took 10yrs to make and it tells the story of fame! How you get it to how you lose it! I’m definitely proud of this collection people gasped and gave me a standing ovation. Meant the world to me.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Just if you have a dream go after it and if you fall get back up.
