Meet Anthoney Charaman of Detroit, Michigan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthoney Charaman.

Hi Anthoney, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been a musician, singer, songwriter, and producer for as long as I remember. I started off with piano lessons. I come from a long line of church musicians and ministers as well. I played in the jazz band in middle school and was in the marching band at Southfield Lathrup High School. Outside of school, I would be gigging regularly with my mother’s band, and other bands around the city. I also grew up playing in churches and jazz venues. While in high school, I took a liking to music production and audio engineering. I began to take it very seriously and decided that’s what I wanted to do with my life.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not always been smooth, I’ve gone through plenty of rejection, losses, and at times, relationship issues. Anything that is worth having requires some sort of sacrifice.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in high quality music production and audio engineering. I’m most proud of the artists I have been able to meet and collaborate with. What sets me apart from others is that I can adapt to any type of setting, genre, and style of creative workflow.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
You have to take some sort of risks in life or you are not living. Bet on yourself! Why not? I bet on myself even choosing music as a career in the first place. I encourage all creatives to take risks! (Within reason of course)
