Meet Hyunjung (Ancy) KIM of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hyunjung (Ancy) KIM.

Hi Hyunjung (Ancy), so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in South Korea. Before moving to the U.S., I owned and operated a café in Korea for several years and also worked in interior design and consulting. Those experiences taught me the importance of thoughtful design, creating welcoming spaces, and providing memorable customer experiences. They continue to influence the lifestyle, home, and family-related content I create today.

After getting married, my husband and I welcomed two wonderful children. Earlier this year, our family moved to the Atlanta area for my husband’s work, and it became the beginning of a completely new chapter in our lives.

Moving to a new country was exciting, but it also came with many challenges. As a mom, I was learning how to adapt to a different culture while raising two young children. During that process, I started sharing our daily life, family adventures, and honest experiences on social media.

Today, I create content that introduces life in America through the perspective of a Korean mom. I love sharing local restaurants, family-friendly attractions, travel experiences, home projects, and products that genuinely make our lives easier. My goal is to help people discover new places while also connecting Korean and American cultures through everyday life.

Looking back, I never imagined that simply sharing our family’s journey would grow into something so meaningful. I’m grateful for the wonderful community we’ve built and for the opportunities to collaborate with amazing brands while continuing to tell our story.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth journey. Moving from South Korea to the United States meant starting over in many ways. I had to adjust to a new culture, communicate in a different language, and build a new daily routine while raising two young children.

As a content creator, I also had to earn the trust of a new audience and learn what resonates with people living in the U.S. There were moments when I questioned whether I was on the right path, especially while balancing motherhood, creating content, and adapting to life in a new country.

However, I’ve learned that every challenge has helped me grow. Instead of trying to be perfect, I focus on being authentic. Sharing both the exciting moments and the difficult ones has allowed me to build genuine connections with my audience, and that’s something I’m truly grateful for.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a lifestyle content creator based in the Atlanta area, creating content through the perspective of a Korean mom living in the United States. My content focuses on everyday family life, travel, local restaurants, hidden gems, home projects, and products that genuinely make our lives easier.

What makes my content unique is that I naturally connect two cultures. Many of my followers are either living in Korea and curious about life in America or Korean families already living in the U.S. I enjoy introducing places and experiences that help bridge those two worlds in an authentic and relatable way.

One thing I’m especially proud of is building a community that trusts my recommendations. I only share places, products, and experiences that my family has personally enjoyed. Because authenticity is so important to me, my audience knows they’re seeing my honest opinions rather than just advertisements.

As my platform has grown, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of local and national brands across travel, hospitality, restaurants, family activities, and lifestyle products. My goal isn’t simply to create beautiful content—it’s to create content that is genuinely helpful and inspires people to explore, experience, and enjoy life with their families.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
If I had to choose one quality, it would be authenticity.

I believe people can immediately tell when content is genuine. That’s why I only recommend places, products, and experiences that my family has personally enjoyed. My goal isn’t to create a perfect image—it’s to share real experiences that people can trust and relate to.

I also believe consistency plays an important role. Even on busy days as a mom of two, I continue creating and sharing content because I genuinely enjoy connecting with my audience. Building trust doesn’t happen overnight, but I believe being honest, consistent, and passionate has been the foundation of everything I’ve achieved so far.
