Meet Lizz Gullickson of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizz Gullickson.

Hi Lizz, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in the Twin Cities in Minnesota and started modeling and doing non-speaking commercial acting around the age of 12. I also participated in pageants early on, which really helped build my confidence and stage presence at a young age. That prior exposure sparked my passion for being in front of the camera and a part of the creative process behind the scenes.

My journey really evolved when I moved to Atlanta in 2017. Since then, I’ve been able to expand my portfolio and grow within the industry.

Over the years, I’ve built a strong foundation not just as a model and actress, but as someone who understands the business and the storytelling behind it. To this day, I continue to build, evolve, and create with purpose, while using my experiences to inspire and uplift others along the way.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I believe that (in all industries) anytime someone embarks on a new journey, there will be challenges to overcome, and that’s what builds character and develops you into the person you need to become to achieve your goals. Coming into the Atlanta market, I felt that I had to really prove myself. Atlanta is a fast-paced, competitive industry, and there were moments where I felt unsure of where and when the next opportunity was going to come. Building momentum—especially in acting—takes patience and practice.

I’ve also had to balance real life while pursuing this path—being a mother, working full time, pursuing real estate, navigating personal challenges, and still showing up professionally hasn’t always been easy; But honestly, those were the moments that shaped me. It taught me to go after what lights me up, build real relationships, and keep going even when things were uncertain. I’ve learned to create my own opportunities and trust my timing…and that’s really what made the difference!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work ranges from fashion, commercial, and on-camera acting. I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of various photoshoots, runway shows, skits, short films and TV sets, which has helped me gain hands-on experience and really understand how to show up in different spaces. I love projects where I can bring a vision to life—whether that’s through a look, a character, or the overall energy of a shoot!

I’d say I’m known for my presence and professionalism. I take pride in being prepared, easy to work with, and bringing a certain confidence and authenticity to every project. People remember how you make them feel on set, and that’s something I’m very intentional about.

What I’m most proud of is how I’ve built my portfolio over time. Nothing was overnight—I’ve put in the work, stayed committed, and kept evolving with every opportunity.

What sets me apart is that I understand both the creative and the business side of the industry. I’m not just there to look the part; I’m there to elevate the project, represent the brand well, and contribute to the bigger picture. I believe having that mindset, along with staying true to who I am, is what has made me successful both in front of the camera and behind it!

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Over the years, the photographers, creatives, casting directors who gave me opportunities, and other talent I’ve worked with, believed in me and all attributed to my success in one way or another.

My family has been a huge support system. Especially my daughter, Olivia, who has been one of my main motivations that keep me striving to build a meaningful legacy.

All in all, everyone I’ve worked with has made an impact on my journey and influenced who I am today, both personally and professionally 🙂
