Meet Beoncia Dunn of Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beoncia Dunn.

Hi Beoncia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am Beoncia Nicole Dunn, a Fine Artist born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Daughter to Judy Marie Dunn & Terry Wayne Casimir. My Mother is a Track & Field Legend from Covington, Georgia. While my Father was a National Soccer Player & Professional BodyBuilder from Trinidad. I am a bold mix of Black American & Caribbean Culture. This peculiar mix partly shapes who I am as an Artist.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Life has not been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t trade any of my struggles & accomplishments for anything. I am finally shifting out of living a Life of constant Survival into a Life of Abundance. The Bumps + Grooves along My Journey were pivotal Moments orchestrated by God. Lessons I’ve learned and will continue to learn in order to mature Me for New Levels.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Fine Art specializing in Fine Art Photography, Textile Design, Mixed Media Painting, Costume Design, Music, Poetry, Art Direction & Film. I am known for being a Wardrobe Stylist which I enjoyed every bit of that Journey. I Love Art and the Art of being an Artist. Therefore, I am most proud of being gifted Time + Opportunity to practice freely as an Artist.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Time is a Gift. Be intentional with your Time and stay Present while doing so.
