Today we’d like to introduce you to Cara D’Adamo.

Hi Cara, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey as an artist started at a very young age. My father is a musician, so I grew up surrounded by music, creativity, and storytelling. Being immersed in that environment inspired me to begin singing, dancing, and performing as a child. As I got older, my passion naturally expanded into acting, where I discovered a love for bringing complex, authentic characters to life.
Over the years, I’ve continued to train, grow, and challenge myself as both an artist and a storyteller. Every experience has shaped who I am today and reinforced my belief that art has the power to connect people, inspire hope, and create meaningful conversations.
That passion eventually led me to found Faith Over Fear Studio & Productions, a company dedicated to creating meaningful stories, supporting fellow artists, and building a community where creativity can inspire, encourage, and make a lasting impact. This has allowed me to combine my love of performance as well as, create opportunities for others and counsel artists with purpose and authenticity.
I’m still learning, still evolving, and grateful to be building a career doing what I love while continuing to tell stories that matter and mentor other artists along the way.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has definitely never been a smooth road. There have been a lot of highs and lows because that’s just the reality of working in the music and entertainment industry. Rejection is something you experience on a regular basis, and early on I realized you have to develop thick skin. You can’t let every no define you, because so much of this business is subjective. Sometimes you’re just not the right fit, and that’s okay.
Of course, there have been moments where I’ve questioned myself or wondered if I was on the right path, but every challenge has taught me something valuable. It’s made me more resilient, more patient, and more confident in who I am as an artist. I’ve learned that success isn’t just about talent, it’s about perseverance, showing up consistently, and continuing to work on your craft even when no one is watching.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of staying true to myself. Early in my career, it’s easy to feel like you have to fit into a certain mold or be what you think the industry wants. But over time, I’ve realized that my uniqueness is actually my greatest strength. There is only one me, and the experiences I’ve had and the perspective I bring are things no one else can offer.
I’ve also learned to stop comparing my journey to other people’s. Everyone’s path looks different, and everyone’s timing is different. Some opportunities come quickly for some people, while others take years of hard work and persistence. I’ve learned to trust the process, keep growing, and focus on becoming the best artist I can be.
At the end of the day, I still love what I do. Storytelling has always been at the heart of why I chose this career, and every challenge has only strengthened that passion. If anything, the ups and downs have reminded me why I’m here. They continue to push me to grow, to keep learning, and to keep believing that every experience is preparing me for the opportunities that are meant for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’ve been a working artist for nearly twenty years, and throughout that time I’ve had the opportunity to grow as a creative and performer. My passion has always been the art of music and storytelling that connects with people on a deeper level. I love exploring unique characters and telling stories that reflect the beauty, struggles, and resilience of the human experience.
Beyond acting, I’m also the Founder of Faith Over Fear Studio & Productions, which was created from my desire to encourage and empower other artists. Through that platform, I hope to create meaningful conversations and remind people that even in the face of fear, rejection, or uncertainty, they can continue pursuing their purpose and dreams.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just the projects I’ve worked on, it’s the fact that I’ve never given up. This industry is incredibly competitive, and there have been plenty of obstacles along the way. Every audition, every rejection, and every challenge has helped shape me into a stronger artist and person. I’m proud that I’ve continued to invest in my craft, keep learning, and stay committed to growing both professionally and personally.
I think what sets me apart is my authenticity, resilience, and work ethic. I bring my own life experiences, empathy, and perspective into every project I take on.
At the heart of everything I do is a genuine love for the art of music, performance and storytelling. Whether I’m performing, creating new projects, or mentoring other artists, my goal is always the same, to inspire, connect, and remind people that our stories have the power to bring hope, healing, and understanding.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I believe luck can play a role in opening doors, but I don’t think it’s what sustains a career. In the entertainment and music industry. People often see someone’s success and call it luck, but what they don’t see are the years of training, countless auditions, rejection, hard work, and perseverance that happened long before that opportunity arrived.
I’ve certainly had moments where I was in the right place at the right time, but I was also prepared for those moments because I had spent years investing in my craft. I believe that with faith and preparation, the right opportunities come.
More than anything, I’ve learned to focus on what I can control, continuing to grow, working hard, building meaningful relationships, and staying true to who I am. Every opportunity, whether big or small, has come from consistently showing up and refusing to give up.
I also believe that every setback has served a purpose. Some opportunities I really wanted didn’t work out, but looking back, many of those disappointments redirected me toward experiences that helped me grow both personally and professionally. I am grateful for every opportunity that has come my way.
At the end of the day, I think success is built by continuing to show up, even when the outcome is uncertain. If you’re prepared when the right opportunity comes along, what looks like luck to everyone else is often the result of years of dedication behind the scenes.
