Today we’d like to introduce you to Glorianna Chan.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Glorianna. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I have always loved photography, but I never thought that it is possible to be a photographer. Back then in Indonesia where I grew up, being a photographer is not a prestige job. But, I also love graphic design and the business side of it, so I decided to major in Advertising for my undergraduate degree.
After graduating from college, I moved to Atlanta tried to apply to a lot of advertising job. Honestly, it didn’t work out really well because I was an international student. But, God made a way. I met my now husband and business partner, Justin (my first boyfriend ever!). He introduced me to a company that finally wanted to sponsor my work visa.
During the time I work with the company, I keep getting more and more photography inquiries. I never put my camera down. I keep learning and sharpen my photography skills. One day, Justin proposed and the wedding planning began. I never thought that I would get married that young.
Planning our wedding makes me realize that I love wedding, but more than that, I LOVE MARRIAGE! So, I asked our wedding photographer if I could second shoot with them to see if I would like to be a wedding photographer. We were so blessed because our awesome wedding photographer allowed me to second shoot (or maybe third shooting!) with them. That day, I had so much fun and decided that I want to pursue this wedding photography thing! That is how Glorious Moments Photography was born.
Once I realized that I want to be a wedding photographer, I tried to educate myself to learn more about the business and find out why I want to be one. To me, I want nothing more than my couple’s marriage to bloom. As a lady that was single for 22 years (never thought that marriage is something in the near future for me), I want to capture those “I do” moments a thousand times (or more) and tell the story that true love is possible, real, and authentic.
I want my couple to have the best experience getting their marriage started. I want them to have tangible moments that they can pass down to generation. I tried to infuse a lot of fun prompts during our photo session so it’s fun and I can capture their best selves. I know that my community + customer service are two of the biggest thing that got us where we are today.
Now here we are. 2 years from that first wedding, first year in business, and going strong! Thank you to all of friends, family, and friends that have supported me and my business!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I wish I could say that it’s been a smooth sailing! Ha! But, nope. The struggle is real, Y’all! To me, one of the biggest struggles is comparing myself with other people. With the social media linger in my life every day, it’s hard to always stay confident with myself and Glorious Moments Photography. Sometimes it’s hard to see the little wins when I see other people on my social media feed. So, I have to change the perspective on this and spend less time on social media. That way, I become more confident in what I have to offer to my awesome clients. 🙂
The other thing I struggle with is the business side of Glorious Moments Photography. I love shooting, being the photographer, editing, and all the creative side, but when it comes to tax and numbers, I didn’t know what to do. That is why I work with an accountant, financial planner, and even educate myself so that I can run my business better.

We are a husband and wife wedding photography team based in Atlanta. We tell your stories through images that are timeless, fun, bright, and intimate. Destination weddings, intimate weddings, and elopements are our jam! So, yes, we do travel all over the world to capture your glorious moments.
Honestly, I am most proud of as a company when my past clients refer me to their friends and family. Every time they said that they have referred me, I know it’ll be a day of celebration for me!
What sets me apart from other photographers:
1) My personality! My fun, bubbly, and crazy self. There’s only one Glorianna Tjiong Chan in the world. 🙂 Okay, there’s probably more than one Justin Chan in the world, but there’s only one Justin Chan that I married!
2) My multicultural experience. I grew up in Indonesia, I travel often, and now I live in the USA. All those different cultures make me think outside of the box often time. They say people that experience multicultural experience is more creative!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Good question! Currently, in the near future, I am re-branding! Our new website is launching soon! We are also launching a few new services by the end of the year!
Our goal for Glorious Moments is to have a team of creatives that work together creating magical moments. I want to have associates that shoot more Glorious Moments, editor, stylist, and a photo studio that will equip us to serve our clients better.
