Meet Danish Dharani, Aman Bhojani, and Wahaj Imam

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danish Dharani, Aman Bhojani, and Wahaj Imam.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Chromalogue began a year after the team completed college and began working. We all knew we wanted to pursue something outside of our respective fields- something that would let us express our artistic abilities outside of our professional lives. Danish took the first leap when he purchased a Nikon D5300 to explore photography by photographing small family events. Knowing the challenge that would come with organizing color and exploring complementary tones due to his color blindness, Danish did not want his photography to be limited. One day, he posed the concept of starting a photography venture to us core group of friends. As a result, Wahaj and Aman joined on, and Chromalogue was created. As a collective, we wanted to pursue something that would keep the artistic spirit in us alive and build something that we could show others to demonstrate that we aren’t as one-dimensional as our degree or our profession. Furthermore, we all have known each other for years and always push each other to follow our passions. The brotherhood between us further encouraged us to build something together from nothing and enjoy the company and the process as we go on our journey.

Please tell us about your art.
Our art has evolved as we began this journey. Exploring the artistic community on Instagram and Facebook, we loved the facet of portrait and travel photography. We knew we wanted to move in that direction because that type of art had a lot of expression behind it where you can capture an individual’s or a certain location’s aura in a photo to be shared with, essentially, the world. We have been solely focused on improving our editing and technical skills as we continue on this journey in portrait and travel photography. We hope that when people look at our photos, they see the personality of our subject and not just the surface of our subject. We want to bring to light those special things about every individual and every moment that we capture.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
Exposure for sure! The market is saturated, and it’s becoming harder and harder to differentiate yourself from the rest. Our first advice would be to reach out to friends and family first. Our friends have been super supportive in helping us build content and giving us feedback on what they like or don’t like. As you develop, you may pick up or fall into a community that has the same artistic goals as you do! Recently, we were fortunate enough to be discovered and asked to be a part of Collab ATL which is a network of artists with a diverse set of skills all working together to help each other out.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
We have an active Instagram (@chromalogue_photography) and Facebook accounts (Chromalogue Photography) where people can take a look at our work and also follow us as well! We have a website in the works and are aiming to have one this year.
