Today we’d like to introduce you to Corrine Knight.

Corrine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a City girl born and raised in Philadelphia. The streets of North Philly are very hard. It was always a struggle for my family growing up. The mentality was not great with a lot of my family, my mother struggled with reading and writing for the majority of her life, due to dropping out of school early to look after her brothers and sisters. She never learned to drive or get a license. My mother did manage to work, make a living for herself save and get married to my father. Finally, we became somewhat middle class with the area we moved on to and material things we could soon afford. Mom always bought us up in church as Christians no matter what. I always maintained my faith through the years. I was determined not to follow the family cycle of failures. I met my husband shortly after graduating high school. I worked, struggled, had 2 children and finally married my children’s father who was my then boyfriend. We built together, had hard times because of money, other people interfering in the marriage so much happening as my children grew I thought my heart was not going ton make it. I persevered through the rocks that were thrown at us. We finally moved out of Philly, settled on the outskirts of the city to the suburbs. 1st in my entire Family to build a home from scratch. At that time It was such a personal accomplishment me for me to have achieved. Soon family and friends would begin to fall away. Jealousy, bitterness, hate began to take over those closest to me. They had such comments to make about my family and I. At first I did not understand, quickly came to realize, God was setting me apart. It was necessary for God to reset, restore, refind, redirect, my path back to him. I became so emerged in the Lord by faith. God was able to begin to turn everything in our favor. I was lead by the Lord through prayer and fasting. I was led to Georgia. We don’t have any other 7family in GA. So I definitely was relying on Faith and God’s help. Since moving almost 7 years ago, I had gone to Philadelphia school of performing arts for Singing., I was certified as an esthetician, and finished Medical assistant courses and became certified in it, only to still find dissatisfaction. Still felt unfulfilled.

Continuing to press and pray I began to as God what do I do. I enrolled for biblical counseling because I felt pulled to ministry. I became licensed as a minister. Still, something was missing. I came alongside classes for performing the treatments we offer. I began to receive certification in these areas. Then hope came, it felt like my passion, not only was it my passion it was also my fascination with the human body. The Lord thy God gave me the plan. In setting out I began to look at this as my stage for God to move and reign. God intend it to be birth because he wanted this to be marketplace ministry in Atl. This will be the first of many to be planted Eye Kandy beauty bar was birthed 2.5 years ago. We offer woman an outlet, a place to relax, receive treatment as well as gain self-confidence. We offer non-invasive treatments for body contouring and enhancements. Some receive a soul healing, as well as mental and spiritual in pouring from the Holy Spirit. We witness on site on a regular work day, people who don’t have a personal relationship with the Lord receiving him personally and seeing themselves healed when we pray as directed by the Holy Spirit. We love our clients and we are always blessed by many that we encounter as well. Yes for sure it’s been a huge transition, God gave my family the vision. We strive to bring the vision to life! My children & husband volunteer at events for wellness and motivational speaking concerning Eye Kandy beauty Bar. We are blessed to be a blessing!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Financial burdens, stress, Building business credit, marketing, getting the word out. Overcoming fear, doubt, coming out of agreement with failure!
