We’re looking forward to introducing you to Amier. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Amier, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Being a full time artist and event curator takes waking up early in addition to having a full time day career. My mornings typically start around 5;30-6:00am. Showering wakes me up and allows me to set my focus for the day. Then mediation and prayer right before work. My work day includes my corporate tasks, but also posting to social media accounts, submitting to opportunities, reading and studying anything music or entertainment related. Lunch is typically business calls for music related things and after work is when I really clock in as full time Amier, never really taking my focus from me even when on the job.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Amier is an emerging talent in the entertainment industry, originally from Augusta and based in Atlanta since 2010. As the founder of “ATL GOT TALENT”, he’s built a platform to uplift independent artists through live shows, networking events, and industry exposure.
In addition to curating events, Amier is gaining momentum as an R&B recording artist. He’s performed at major events like Taste of Soul, Sweet Auburn Fest, and the Pride Community Festival, showcasing his dynamic stage presence. His single WMT earned strong fan support, while GOLO has reached over 18,000+ listeners worldwide. He’s also the co-host of Live with Carisha on the Dame Dash Network, further growing his presence.
With two EPs—EP Preview Concert & Bday (2023) and Eclipse (2024)—and more music and tours on the way, Amier remains committed to creating soulful, feel-good R&B and supporting the indie music community.
AMIERS fans and supporters can expect 3 projects within the 2025-2026 calendar year showcasing the real, raw and authentic side of life, struggle, overcoming obstacles, keeping the faith and just a little bit of his love life!
And for ATL GOT TALENT, he plans to press the boundaries and provide true network and connections for indie artists! Who knows maybe Amier could be signed or maybe he’ll be the first to get another artist signed!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe that there are many factors to bonds being broken such as lack of communication, alignment and growth.
Lack of communication tarnishes work, family and connections for opportunities as we all become busier and sharper in our gifts and fields. Sometimes we forget the details, or people feel entitled to our light and or space and I’ve experienced to learn that there will be season where anyone working towards something must become quiet, focused and sometimes even selfish to evolve and grow.
Alignment is important because I’ve had challenges saying “no” in the past, whereas now I understand sometimes closing a door opens many doors!
Which leads to growth, we will outgrow and shed people. It’s okay and it’s natural, communicate when we can and we we can’t give it to GOD.
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
Oh this is a great one! As a child I remember my mom being in an abusive marriage not only towards her, but towards me as well.
My tape player and headphones helped me get through it!
One day I stood up to her now ex husband after listening to 2pac “Dear Momma”, shortly after he popped my shoulder outta socket and me and moms was out!
I hated him, overtime GOD dealt with me and it showed me the man I didn’t want to become it helped me to keep my word til this day to be a good man, not just when people are looking but even in my private time.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me is very much so real. I’m complex, I’ve lived a decent life overcoming many challenges, perceptions and learning self worth.
Publicly I’m sensual, laid back but also known to ensure the vibes are right and that’s me to a T. However, I am a cancer born 7/5 so though it’s real, it’s only a piece of everything inside! I’m funny, outgoing and love to travel and I’m a lover man!
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Honestly, I understand that success is a mindset. I’ve been blessed that even when I had nothing, GOD allowed me to enter rooms, BIG ROOMS, be seen, be validated and that began to heal me.
I’ve felt that some individuals perceive me one way, but don’t understand I’ve been curating events since 2016 and doing the work as an artists which takes a ton of focus.
I know that some artists don’t understand the financials, effort and time that go into curating shows, festivals and events. Because of that it’s built unnecessary breaks in various careers of independent artists because there’s power in teamwork. I’d definitely add teamwork.
