An Inspired Chat with ariesfoolmoon of Atlanta & Worldwide!

ariesfoolmoon shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi ariesfoolmoon, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
Recently. I’ve been working on creating new routines in the morning. I’ve noticed the way I start my day pretty much sets the tone for the rest of it and I’m learning how to take control of that. I usually like to start my days off with drinking water… lots of water. Stretching, writing in my journal, skimming through my planner, and meditation. I like to open up my windows and get some fresh air, light some incense and make it smell super nice in my place. Doing all of that while basking and dancing to some really good music is the best way for me to bring in peace for the rest of that day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Know me as ariesfoolmoon, the artist. Producing, engineering and recording music is the main thing I do and share with the world. All of my music is exclusively available on Bandcamp and has been that way since 2023 when I decided to remove my music from all major streaming. I think that’s one example of what makes me unique as an artist and very telling of who I am as a person. I’m sincerely trying my best to live as an example of the changes I’d like to see in the world, especially in the art world. I’m being the change I’d like to see – encouraging people to explore different realms of the art world and enjoy alternative ways that we may have been taught or convinced to share and consume it.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
People need to show more empathy, I believe. I think empathy is the glue that holds us all together and allows us to work together in the most beautiful ways possible when we show a deep sense of understanding and compassion for one another. I think we all need to acknowledge the reality of the world we currently live in and show actions that identify that understanding. We need each other. Most importantly, we cannot be afraid to ask for help. If more people would stop suffering in silence and start reaching out for community in those times, I think the overall world would become better. This is something I’m working on in my own life, too.

Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
Yes! I miss buying new CD’s on Fridays and going home to rip it out the plastic and read all of the album lyrics and credits! Haha!

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The biggest lie you will hear as being an artist, of any kind, is that perfection exists. It doesn’t! As someone who mixes and masters my own music, I had to learn this quickly or maybe I would have been so discouraged and given up way early on. A big lesson for artists is to trust the process, and that process shouldn’t be aimed towards perfectionism, but more so sincerity. It feels much better in the end that way.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. Have you ever gotten what you wanted, and found it did not satisfy you?
Yes, of course because obviously when you finally get what you want, you don’t have to want it anymore! So maybe the secret is to not want for anything at all.
