An Inspired Chat with Iva Massa of Kennesaw/ Acworth/ Marietta

We recently had the chance to connect with Iva Massa and have shared our conversation below.

Iva, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
I have been practicing more mindfulness in the morning, I take some time to listen to a devotional and a guided meditation, that has been helped me to feel grounded and start my day feeling energized.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi I’m Iva! a bilingual Nutrition Coach, Personal Trainer, Health Coach, Fitness Instructor, mom, wife and bikini competitor

I’m here to help you transform your health and wellness journey because I have been on one myself. My passion for this field comes from a personal place. For years, I struggled with depression and eating disordered, feeling stuck, insecure and out of control. As a stay- home mom I knew I needed to find a better way for me and my family. I committed to movement, mindful eating, and self-care and I started to feel stronger, more confident, and genuinely happy.
Now, I created Strong & Fit by Iva to help busy women and moms do the same: build muscle, lose body fat, decrease bloating, boost confidence, and create sustainable habits that go beyond diets or quick fixes.
I offer hybrid programs, group coaching, 1:1 support, created Strong in 8, my 8-week strength training program for women andblending fitness, nutrition, and holistic wellness to help you feel strong, healthy, and empowered inside and out.

Let’s take this journey together toward the healthiest, happiest version of you.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
I had two people who saw what I could do before I did: a good friend and instructor from the YMCA where I used to workout, guide me to start in the field and support me through my journey. The second person was my former boss, after I became a personal trainer she wanted me to work as a wellness coaching start teaching classes which was something out of my comfort zone, but she told me that I could do it and I was going to do it and support me all the way. I always will be so thankful for both of them and believing in me and what I could do helping others.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t worry too much about what others think and focus on your dreams

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
I used to believe that certain diets or nutrition that people follow were wrong or too strict and yes, some of them are like that, but the diet or nutrition that works for some people are the ones they can follow consistently and not the one I think is the best for them, meeting people where they is the best support I can give.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
The story I would like people to share about me is that Strong & Fit by Iva was a place where they felt safe and empowered, how they changed their lives and their families, one step at the time. They found community and support to achieve not just their fitness and health goals, but also the strength to change their overall life achieving their dreams.
