Jalen Gage shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Jalen , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What battle are you avoiding?
I avoid negativity. And I avoid conflict that I can’t learn anything from. At this point in my life, I’m very intentional about what I give my energy to. In the content creator space, I’m avoiding being boxed into any single narrative especially being seen as just a sex symbol. There’s so much more to me than being an attractive guy. I’m multifaceted, creative, and talented in many ways, and I’m actively charting my own path. I want my life and work to reflect depth, purpose, and a legacy that lasts.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Jalen Gage and I’m currently building and refining a few exciting things heading into 2026. I’m continuing to develop my beard oil and doing amazing work with an international skin care line while constantly honing my craft through modeling, acting, directing, and creative direction. I’m always looking for ways to evolve and expand what I do. Everything I’m working on is intentional, rooted in growth, creativity, and creating something meaningful that reflects who I am and where I’m going.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
When I was younger, I didn’t always believe things were truly possible for me, and I didn’t fully believe in myself. As I got older and gained real-life experience, that changed. I’ve learned that anything is possible when you believe in yourself. Through faith in God and self-belief, doors open. Growth taught me that limitations are often mental and once you overcome that it’s life changing.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was a time when my plate felt completely overloaded. I had so much coming at me at once that I wasn’t sure how I was going to get through it. What carried me was prayer and taking things one gig, one step at a time. And somehow, I made it through. That season taught me that while you can’t control every obstacle in life, you can control how you respond to them and that made all the difference for me.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
For sure. I’m genuinely a calm, understanding, person who works hard and enjoys life. I have fallen in love with my life, my peace, and my journey to success. When I decided to create content, I knew I didn’t want to be anyone other than myself. Authenticity doesn’t require rehearsal. I’ve worked hard to reach a place of healing, maturity, and confidence so I’m proud of how far I’ve come. There’s no reason to hide that.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
The power of patience. I’ve learned that things take time to materialize and align with who you’re meant to be. Growth isn’t instant. When you withstand the storms, what comes later is greater. I’ve learned that all I really have to do is trust the process and everything unfolds when it’s supposed to. That was a game changer for me.
