Sumiko Nolton shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Sumiko, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: When was the last time you felt true joy?
The last time I truly felt joy was the day I opened my store — FIVE Boutique.
A dream turned reality, a vision born from love, faith, and hustle.
Every pink bag, every customer, every moment reminds me why I started. 💖✨

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Miko, the proud owner and visionary behind FIVE Boutique LLC, located in Morrow, Georgia. FIVE Boutique was born from my love of fashion, confidence, and creating a space where every woman can feel beautiful, bold, and empowered.
What makes FIVE special is that it’s more than just a boutique — it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with style, personality, and purpose. Our slogan, “Your Favorite Look Starts Here,” reflects exactly what we stand for — helping every woman find that perfect look that makes her feel unstoppable.
I’ve always believed that fashion should be fun, expressive, and inclusive. At FIVE, we cater to women of all shapes and styles with trendy, affordable pieces that turn heads and spark confidence.
In addition to the boutique, I’m also the creator of Curvy Lips by Miko, a beauty brand that celebrates individuality through bold lip colors, makeup essentials, and lashes that elevate every look. Together, both brands represent empowerment — from the inside out.
Right now, I’m focused on growing our online presence, expanding our collections, and continuing to build community through local events and partnerships. FIVE is not just a brand — it’s a movement, a vibe, and a celebration of self-love and style
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child, I believed that everything had to be perfect before I could start.
Now I know the magic happens when you begin — even if it’s messy, even if you’re scared.
Growth, purpose, and blessings come in the doing.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me strength that success never could.
It showed me how to trust God when I couldn’t see the way,
how to build from nothing,
and how to appreciate every blessing that came after the storm.
Success gave me confidence — but suffering gave me character.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
The public version of me shows the wins — the boutique, the beauty brand, the confidence.
But the real me? She’s fought battles no one clapped for, cried tears no one saw, and still showed up.
So yes, she’s real — just not the whole story.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say I loved hard, gave freely, and inspired others to believe in themselves.
That I turned pain into purpose, and dreams into something real.
That I showed women they could build, shine, and slay — all with faith and confidence. 💕✨
I pray they remember my heart more than anything I owned.
