We recently had the chance to connect with Wanda Monette Pearson and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Wanda Monette, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
For a long time, I found comfort in staying behind the scenes. I loved helping people, but I didn’t always feel comfortable stepping forward with my own voice. Vulnerability—sharing my personal story, my struggles, and my triumphs—felt intimidating. I wondered, Would people truly understand me? Would my story matter?
But over time, I’ve realized that what once felt like fear was really preparation. Today, I am being called to walk boldly in my purpose and embrace my voice as a source of strength. Publishing my books, God’s Grace Through the Fire: From Struggle to Triumph and my upcoming release, Forgiveness: Walking in Freedom Through God’s Grace, taught me that my story is not just for me—it’s meant to inspire and empower others.
I am no longer afraid of visibility. I am called to speak on bigger stages, to lead conversations around healing, forgiveness, and legacy, and to connect my personal testimony with the professional mission of WD Pearson Associates. Whether it’s helping families protect their futures through LegalShield, guiding entrepreneurs in building businesses with confidence, or encouraging women to heal and rise, I know my work is bigger than me.
What once felt like a fear has now become a calling: to stand unapologetically in my purpose, to use my voice to change lives, and to create a legacy that will outlive me. My journey has shown me that stepping out of fear is the doorway to freedom—and I want to encourage others to do the same.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Wanda M. Pearson, CEO and founder of WD Pearson Associates, LLC. My passion is helping families, coaching entrepreneurs and home-based and small businesses, and women protect what matters most—their purpose, their future, and their legacy. Through my partnership with LegalShield and IDShield, I provide affordable legal and identity theft protection, while my coaching and consulting empower small business owners to build with clarity and confidence.
What makes my brand unique is the way I combine professional expertise with a faith-based, heart-centered approach. My own journey of overcoming struggles led me to write God’s Grace Through the Fire: From Struggle to Triumph and my upcoming book, Forgiveness: Walking in Freedom Through God’s Grace. Both books reflect my mission to educate, empower, and elevate others by showing that even in hardship, there is purpose and hope.
Today, I’m excited to expand my impact through workshops, coaching programs, and speaking engagements that merge legal protection, business empowerment, and personal growth. My goal is simple: to equip people to thrive, create lasting legacies, and walk in freedom with confidence.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The part of me that I am releasing is the need to carry everything on my own. For years, I thought strength meant doing it all—being the caretaker, the problem-solver, and the one who never showed weakness. That mindset served me in survival seasons, but it no longer serves where I am called to go.
I’ve learned that real strength comes in releasing control, trusting God fully, and allowing collaboration to open doors that I cannot walk through alone. By letting go of the “superwoman” mentality, I’m creating space for rest, partnership, and new levels of growth in both my personal and professional life.
What I’m stepping into now is a season of freedom—freedom to delegate, freedom to say yes to what aligns with my purpose, and freedom to say no without guilt. Releasing that old mindset has allowed me to walk with more peace, more clarity, and more courage to embrace the calling ahead of me.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain the moment I realized that silence was keeping me stuck, and sharing my story was the key to freedom—not just for me, but for others too. For a long time, I carried my struggles privately, thinking that if I just pushed through, people would only see my strength. But deep down, I knew that pretending everything was fine was draining me and keeping me from fully walking in my purpose.
The turning point came when I began writing my first book, God’s Grace Through the Fire: From Struggle to Triumph. Putting my journey on paper forced me to confront my pain, but it also showed me the power in transparency. That process shifted everything—I realized that my story wasn’t just about what I went through, but about how God carried me through it. My pain became the testimony that could empower, encourage, and give hope to someone else in their own struggle.
Now, I use that same approach in every part of my work—whether I’m coaching entrepreneurs, helping families protect their legacies, or speaking on stages. I no longer see my pain as something to hide; I see it as the fuel for my purpose. What once hurt me has now been transformed into power, and I’m committed to using it to uplift others and remind them that they, too, can rise from the fire stronger than before.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
The belief I am most committed to is that everyone deserves the chance to build a legacy of freedom—spiritually, personally, and financially. That belief drives everything I do, and it’s not tied to a timeline. It’s a lifelong mission.
One project that reflects this is my work around forgiveness. My upcoming book, Forgiveness: Walking in Freedom Through God’s Grace, is more than just a book—it’s part of a movement. Forgiveness is a journey, not a quick fix, and I am committed to helping people release what holds them back so they can truly walk in freedom. Even if it takes years for someone to get there, I know the message will plant seeds that eventually grow into healing.
I’m also deeply committed to helping families and small businesses protect themselves through WD Pearson Associates. Legal protection, identity theft awareness, and business empowerment are not just services—they’re tools to ensure that people can thrive without fear. Whether it takes months or decades, I will continue building programs, writing, and speaking to make sure more people understand the power of protecting both their future and their faith.
For me, it’s not about how long it takes. It’s about staying faithful to the vision and trusting that every step leaves an impact for generations to come
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will say that I lived with purpose, faith, and love—and that I used every gift God gave me to uplift others. I want my story to be one of resilience, where struggles didn’t define me but instead became the fuel that helped me inspire others to keep going.
More than anything, I want people to remember me as someone who poured into others. That I didn’t just talk about forgiveness, faith, and empowerment—I lived it. I created spaces for families, women, and entrepreneurs to rise above their fears, protect their legacies, and walk in freedom with confidence.
If the story people tell about me is that I helped them believe in themselves, trust God through the fire, and leave something meaningful behind for their loved ones—then I know my life will have been well lived. My prayer is that my legacy continues not just through my books or business, but through the lives I touched along the way.
