Today we’d like to introduce you to 301CAS.

Hi 301CAS, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I have been writing songs since kindergarten; it’s always been something that came natural to me. As I got older, making music kind of came in waves. In high school I made my first Soundcloud and released 3 songs, but don’t try looking for it because I scrubbed it off the internet lol. For a long time after that, I kind of neglected making music and started pursuing other hobbies like dance and cheerleading. My sophomore year of college, I ended up getting into a car accident and broke my ankle. That caused me to basically be on house arrest for about 3 months which impacted my mental health greatly, but thankfully I was able to transmute that energy into art. That is when I fell back in love with songwriting and came back to what I feel is my calling. I had a friend at that time whose mom had music connections, and she got me a studio session. That was my first real studio session, and honestly it changed my life. It’s funny because I never released anything from that time period, but i don’t think that’s what that experience was for to be honest. In retrospect, I feel like everything that has transpired in my career so far has been nothing but alignment. My first official release was BLING back in 2022. From then to now, I’ve performed at various shows and festivals while releasing singles here and there but I never made much of an effort actually putting myself out there and promoting myself. Now I’m at a point where this is something I want to put my all into and see what comes from it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been smooth at all! I have struggled with anxiety and depression for a long time, so a lot of the time I was inactive because mentally I wasn’t in it. As an artist in this day and age, I’m forced to put myself on display on different social media platforms, which isn’t inherently the problem; the problem is, it’s hard for me to post in a virtual world when I don’t feel in tune with the physical world around me. I used to tell people all the time, “I’m not afraid of failing, I’m afraid of succeeding.” I felt that way because I know my talents and I think it can take me far if i do it the right way, but I wasn’t ready for what that came with mentally. I wouldn’t be able to just disappear anymore or hide in the shadows. People would know me and I would have a role to fulfill, and honestly that terrified me. But now that I’m older and healing old wounds, I allow myself to take up space.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an artist, which entails many things. I’m a singer-songwriter, I can rap, and I dance. Some other creative skills I utilize in my artistry is sewing (I’m a big thrifter/upcycler), photography/videography, and event production management. I would say I’m best known for my stage presence. I can go to a show where nobody knows who I am, and by the end of my set I’ve got people dancing and singing along with me. I’m most proud of my current project; I am throwing my first show ever on September 25th in honor of my birthday on September 26th. What sets me apart from others is the type music I make. My friend called it genre bending, and honestly she ate with that because that’s the most accurate description I’ve gotten lol.

What matters most to you? Why?
ENERGY!!! Energy is so big to me because it’s not something you can fake. A person can say or do things, and a lot of the time I’m able to see their intentions just based off of how they present themselves/how they come off; it’s all in the micro expressions and body language. For me, I don’t care if it’s somebody that has millions of followers and can put my name on the map tomorrow; if their energy is garbage, then I’m not interested.
