Check Out A’niya Lay’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to A’niya Lay.

Hi A’niya, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started pursuing a fashion career at the Arts Institute Of Atlanta in 2018 because I’ve always had a passion for arts and needed a way to express my creativity. I’ve actually tried almost everything career-wise, trying to find my passion from makeup, film, designing, modeling. The list really goes on and on but, after a while, I ended up finding a way to combine everything into one. While in art school, I decided that I wanted to pursue being a social media influencer. I started my very first youtube channel when I was about 7 or 8 years old but never really took it seriously. Over the years I found it to be a positive outlet for me to showcase some of my talents and connect with people. I’ve also always wanted to own my own boutique and the day has finally come. My online store opened around March 2021 and I’ve been so happy with my results. I’m so glad that I actually brought all of my visions to life and I’m able to do what I love and be around all of my creative friends here in Atlanta.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being creative also comes with creative roadblocks. There has been times in class when I would create something that I loved but a teacher absolutely hates and that can go for a lot of other things in life but, I always had to remind myself that if I’m happy with my art and what I’m doing that’s all that matters!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I currently own my own online boutique store named So Stormi where I sell the latest trendy clothes and accessories for girls and guys. In between running my online store I also create content for platforms like Youtube and Instagram. I am currently working on being a lifestyle blogger so I can share all of my experiences to all of my supporters.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
At a very young age, I learned that I was very passionate about fashion & art culture as a whole. I’ve been told I’ve been dressing myself since the age of three! My parents have always embraced my love for the arts and supported all of my creative endures from playing the guitar, modeling, acting, drawing and designing.
