Today we’d like to introduce you to CashOnAble.
Hi CashOnAble, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Well, I’m a music artist who was born in Jamaica Queens, New York. I was later raised in Atlanta, GA. I grew up like many who had a strong love for basketball, music, and food. My passion for making music was sparked by the sudden passing of my brother in 2009, who was an aspiring up and coming music producer. A few years later, in 2014 I met my business partner/label mate, Lester Smith Jr (CEO of Independent Record Label) ”Linking Talented People” Incorporated. Aka LTP INC, through another brother of mine, and we clicked immediately and got to work on what would later become over a 100+ songs while spending countless hours and days in the studio. In 2015 I signed a recording contract with LTP INC and have been releasing music worldwide ever since.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I most definitely wouldn’t say my journey has been easy, but rather worthwhile, in the large scope of things. I’ve learned so much about overcoming adversity and being relentless in my pursuit for success. I would have to say one of the main challenges I faced earlier in my career was, finding out what separated me from the next artist and figuring out my own identity in such a heavily saturated music genre as HipHop. Once I got over the fear of not appealing to everyone, I began doing what came natural and everything else started to fall into place.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a recording artist, and I specialize in songwriting. I’m most known for my recent album releases, I have a lot to be proud. I’m currently working on my 5th album release, set to be released late 2022. I recently released a compilation album with a few of my fellow artists from NewYork, The Project is Called “Family Business” it consists of 10 really Dope songs ranging from all kinds of vibes displaying the various talents of the artists involved. I am also actively a part of a music coalition called “Cook Cabin” started by my good friend DubbyGotBars, which is basically a 5 day “Retreat/Boot Camp” in the Blue Ridge Mountains Area of GA, where me and a flock of 20 creatives gather together to fellowship and create some of the most amazing music and release it to the world, it’s held twice a year, and it’s does wonders for my musical catalog and work relationships in the industry. Last but not least, I’m also a part of another rap coalition called “CHLDRN” headed by Atlanta’s own “GRIP” and “Tu Ahyes!” The group consists of artists like “Stray Anthony, Tate 228, Fleetwood Fred, Kay Nellz, Joey Kostello, WARA, Vell, Oliver Blue, Tiggarachi”, we’re currently working on a group project that you guys can look forward to hearing sometime before the end of the year!, safe to say I’ve been busy working and staying active!
How do you think about luck?
I’m honestly not really sure if I equate anything in my life to good luck or bad luck. I’m a firm believer in law of attraction and divine timing, and having a positive outlook on most things allows me to accept life for what it is and not dwell on things that are 100 % out of my control, I stay focused on my goals and purpose not really leaving much room to luck. But if I were to take a shot at the question, I would say I got lucky with surviving life this long and making it this far because so many talented creatives before me have come and gone and I’m still blessed to be pushing forward.
