Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Bucheger.
Hi Cynthia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My daughter and I started our journey because we wanted homemade products and customized clothing for our children, but financially, it just wasn’t always affordable. We were blessed with a friend who gave us a great deal on a vinyl cutter, and that small opportunity became the beginning of something much bigger than we ever imagined.
We started in a small room at home, creating homemade T-shirts, cups, and a few other custom products for our children and family. As we learned more and grew our skills, we realized there were many others in the same place we had been wanting personalized, meaningful items without the high price tag.
People began noticing our work and asking us to create custom items for them. What started as a simple hobby quickly turned into something much more. In 2018, we had a conversation about how amazing it was that so many people were coming to us for their personalized requests. That was the moment we realized this was no longer just a hobby it was the start of a real business.
Our mother-daughter relationship grew into a full business partnership built on love, trust, and shared goals. Our mission was simple: strengthen our bond while providing affordable, customized products made with heart for others.
Every product we create takes time, care, and love. Seeing the smiles on our customers’ faces when they pick up their finished items is one of the greatest rewards. It warms our hearts because we know we’ve poured our hearts, sweat, and sometimes even tears into making something special for them.
Most of our customers become more like family, and that personal connection is what makes our business so meaningful. We continue today to provide personalized products for our community and beyond, and we thank God every day for this journey, the lessons, and the relationships it has brought into our lives.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. Like many small businesses, we’ve faced challenges that tested our patience, finances, and even our confidence.
One of the biggest struggles was financial stability. In the beginning, we didn’t always have the money to buy materials in bulk, which meant higher costs and smaller profit margins. There were times we had to reinvest everything back into the business just to keep it going.
Another challenge has been keeping products in stock. As our business grew, so did the demand. Managing inventory for vinyl blanks, DTF prints, and sublimation supplies hasn’t always been easy. Sometimes items sell out faster than expected, and delays from suppliers can slow everything down.
We’ve also had to learn how to adapt and evolve. Trends in the crafting world change quickly, and staying relevant means constantly learning new techniques, investing in new equipment, and offering products our customers actually want.
Finding the right location and space has been another obstacle. Starting from home worked at first, but as we expanded, we needed more room to grow while still keeping costs manageable.
On top of that, building a business as a mother-daughter team comes with its own challenges. While our bond is strong, there have been moments of disagreements and stress, especially when making big decisions or handling busy seasons. But those moments helped us grow stronger in both business and our relationship.
Through all of this, we’ve learned that every challenge comes with a lesson. Those struggles pushed us to become more organized, more creative, and more determined to succeed.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We run a Vinyl and Creations shop where we specialize in vinyl, sublimation blanks, sublimation prints, DTF prints, engraved products, blank shirts, hats, keychains, and so much more. We provide the materials and designs that help others bring their creative ideas to life. Whether someone is just starting out or already has a business, we try to be a one stop shop where they can find quality products they can trust.
Over time, we’ve become known for our affordability, quality, and personal touch. We take pride in making sure our products are consistent and easy to work with, because we know our customers are depending on them for their own projects and businesses. We also love helping people learn—whether that’s answering questions, giving advice, or just encouraging them to keep going.
What we’re most proud of is how we built this business together as a mother and daughter. What started as something small for our own family turned into something that supports others, and that means everything to us. Seeing our customers succeed using our products is one of the best feelings.
What really sets us apart is the heart behind what we do. We’re not just selling products we’re building relationships. We treat our customers like family, we listen to what they need, and we truly care about their experience. Everything we create and offer comes from a place of love, and we think people can feel that when they shop with us.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes us happiest is seeing the impact of what we do on other people. When a customer comes back excited about a project they created using our products, or tells us their business is growing because of something they bought from us, that feeling is hard to explain. It reminds us why we started in the first place.
We also find a lot of happiness in working together. Building something as a mother and daughter, growing through the ups and downs, and turning an idea into a real business has brought us closer in a way we’re really proud of.
And honestly, it’s the little moments too, packing orders, creating new designs, helping someone figure out their next step. Knowing that what we do brings joy, creativity, and opportunity to others is what keeps us going every day.
