Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Ilonwafor.
Hi Eric, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I first started out as a test shooting Model, and then I branched out into more storytelling roles. I got in the mood of doing editorial and then as time went on I consider doing more e-commerce and beauty now I’m in this stage where I am open to create directing and having that full chance of storytelling to my best ability, and that is in front and behind the camera.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think, of course of the years as I classified myself as a creative, I can attest that I became where my biggest roadblock. Worthiness confidence letting myself be a personal brand has had as difficult difficulty but in time it made me a lot stronger, especially having that inner dialogue learning what it means to be me on a constant basis while I’m creating and not creating I think that overtime I started to understand what self-respect actually meant because being a creative is not just about the work that you put out but also the person that you are and as you show up for yourself, I think that it has helped me realize that there are so much more to how you look at the world while also putting out it. Kind of felt like I was boxing myself in in the early stages just because everybody was doing something unique and I thought if I compared myself and sanction myself off, then I was doing the right thing, but an intern hurt me and hindered me in someway.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a person that likes to create I love bringing art into the world that could be seen as letters to the self and momentums of memories in dreams. I specialize in creative projects, such as editorials. I’ve been a person to walk on a few runways that I can be very proud of.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me or collaborate with me by reaching out to want to work on projects that are not just for editorial or creative passion projects. They could also be for campaigns for brands and they can support me by pointing to the people that want to make more art.
