Today we’d like to introduce you to Karrington Matthews.

Karrington, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Karrington Matthews better known as (Kcutta) the barber. I’m from Clinton, Louisiana. It first started off as a hobby cutting my father’s hair to bringing my clippers to my high school and cutting in the locker room. My Father inspired me to cut after I messed him up instead of bashing me; he told me it could only get better from here. I then went on to further my career after getting a chance to work at my first barbershop in my hometown of Clinton, La (C&E Barbershop), where I started getting my foundation started as a barber. Getting up early morning and leaving late at night. After a while, I left there and started working at the Beauty Parlor in Zachary, La which lead me to believe in myself even more, to jump out on faith and expand to something bigger. After being in Louisiana for 23 years of my life, I moved to Atlanta, GA and began my journey of becoming a celebrity barber. So many great people I meet along this journey, even working with the barber star Marcus Harvey and many more. I now have a suite in Buckhead. And doors are open to all.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road along this journey. I lost my mother in December of 2018 and my brother in October of 2021. I remain confident in my journey, making sure I make them proud.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in grooming. Make sure my clients get a satisfying luxury grooming experience from me. I’m most proud of my ethic and being able to stay focused along this journey. The thing that sets me apart from other is my drive to succeed and my personality.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memory was going to the grocery store and shopping for my deceased grandparents. Their love was unconditional.
