Check Out Michael Bartee 2nd’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Bartee 2nd.

Hi Michael, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My entrepreneurial journey began in Washington, D.C., where I immersed myself in both sneaker culture and fashion. Through various sneaker and apparel ventures, I gained firsthand experience in branding, product development, marketing, and community building. Those early experiences taught me how powerful fashion can be as a form of self-expression and culture, and they ultimately inspired me to pursue a larger vision.

In 2014, I founded Godly, a streetwear brand built around the idea of inspiring people to cultivate their minds, conquer their hearts, and find their crown. My goal was to create more than just clothing—I wanted to build a brand that combined fashion, culture, and purpose. Over the years, Godly has evolved into a high-end streetwear label that encourages confidence, individuality, and personal growth.

As my entrepreneurial journey continued, I expanded into media and entertainment, eventually relocating to Atlanta, Georgia. There, I became part of the team behind the 85 South Show, where I work across digital media, content, marketing, and brand development. Being involved with one of the most influential independent media companies in the country has given me invaluable insight into audience engagement, storytelling, and building impactful brands.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of fashion, media, and culture. Whether through Godly, my involvement in entertainment, or my content platforms, my focus remains the same: creating meaningful experiences that inspire people to believe in themselves and pursue their purpose. From the sneaker and fashion scene in Washington, D.C., to the entertainment industry in Atlanta, every step of my journey has contributed to the vision I’m building today.

More than anything, my story is a testament to consistency. What started as a passion for sneakers, fashion, and creativity has grown into a career dedicated to building brands, telling stories, and encouraging others to find their crown.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There has never been a smooth path created to success. I’ve found that in life
Purpose is so important to the human experience. Your goal in life should be to search for yours and not only perfect but make it your life long goal to continue being your best at it. There will be so many turn and twists, ups and downs. The faith you build in your journey helps you continue through any doubt from yourself or others.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m not one for titles, per se. Officially I’m an image consultant, brand and business developer, creative and curator. I would say my versatility between all fields of fashion, media, marketing, and digital has equip my knowledge and skills in such a way to differentiate myself from others, respectfully.
