Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivya McCann.

Hi Olivya, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Olivya’s acting journey began at just 2 years old when we submitted her for a few local opportunities simply because she loved acting. From the very beginning, she was completely comfortable in front of the camera and genuinely enjoyed every audition.

She soon began booking commercial work, appearing in campaigns for major national brands. At just 3 years old, she landed her first speaking role in a SAG feature film, earning her SAG eligibility and marking an exciting milestone in her young career. Since then, she’s been fortunate to continue working on national commercials and films, taking on principal and speaking roles while learning from incredibly talented casts and crews.

Above all, Olivya is still a joyful, imaginative, and kindhearted little girl who simply loves spending time with her family, playing with her toys, and caring for animals. Whether she’s creating magical adventures with unicorns and dragons, catching bugs, or looking after reptiles and other little creatures, her kindness and curiosity shine through in everything she does. We feel incredibly grateful for every opportunity she’s been given and are excited to see where her love of acting and adventurous spirit take her next.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most families in this industry, our journey hasn’t always been easy. Acting requires a great deal of patience, resilience, and flexibility. There are countless auditions that never turn into bookings, last-minute self-tapes, frequent travel, and balancing filming with everyday childhood. Rejection is simply part of the process, even for the most talented actors.
As parents, our biggest priority has always been making sure Olivya continues to enjoy being a kid. We never want acting to feel like a job, so we let her interests guide the journey and only pursue opportunities she genuinely enjoys. Seeing her excitement every time she steps on set reminds us why it’s all worth it, and we’re grateful for every experience, whether it results in a booking or simply helps her grow.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Although she’s still very young, Olivya has been fortunate to build experience across commercials and film.

One of the things we’re most proud of is her professionalism on set. Directors and crew members often comment on how focused, kind, and easy she is to work with. She takes direction well, adapts quickly, and genuinely enjoys collaborating with everyone around her. At the same time, she never loses the joy and imagination that make her performances feel natural and authentic.

What sets Olivya apart is her ability to balance confidence with genuine childhood curiosity. Whether she’s filming a national commercial or a film, she approaches every opportunity with enthusiasm, kindness, and a willingness to learn. More than any booking or accomplishment, we’re proud that she remains grounded, humble, and excited to tell meaningful stories.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
If we had to choose one quality, it would be Olivya’s genuine love for what she does. She never has to be pushed to perform, she truly enjoys acting, meeting new people, and bringing characters to life.

That passion is matched by her kindness, adaptability, and professionalism. She listens carefully, takes direction well, and approaches every set with a positive attitude. Even after long filming days, she remains curious, respectful, and excited to learn. We believe it’s that combination of enthusiasm, resilience, and a kind heart that has helped her succeed and made every experience so rewarding.
