Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheryll Roberts.
Hi Sheryll, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am an overcomer of childhood sexual abuse.
For years, my voice was silent. I believed that because of what happened to me, I didn’t matter that what I carried inside of me wouldn’t make a difference in this world.
But one day, I made a decision to heal.
And from that moment forward, everything changed.
I found my voice again.
And I’ve been using it ever since.
Now, I use my voice and my skills to empower others to become everything God created them to be regardless of what happened to them.
Your trauma does not cancel your purpose.
Your past does not disqualify your calling.
What you have to offer matters. And it will be successful but you have to step forward and do it.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been smooth.
But my faith in God and my commitment to becoming a better version of myself every day have carried me through every struggle.
There were moments of doubting my ability to build a brand. Moments of getting trapped in my own thoughts. Moments when I had to silence the negativity that was once spoken over my life.
And as a Black woman and a business owner, I’ve faced discouragement people trying to convince me that it wouldn’t work, that I was aiming too high, that I should shrink my vision.
But I am a living witness: whatever God places in your hands to do, it will be successful.
When He calls you, He equips you.
When He assigns you, He backs you.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Since 2006, I have been a devoted Advocate for sexual abuse survivors, courageously speaking up for the voiceless and empowering women and men to reclaim their stories. As a Certified Christian Counselor specializing in abuse recovery, I guide survivors toward healing, restoration, and purpose-driven living.
Beyond counseling, I help women boldly express their identity through faith-centered fashion and customized jewelry. I believe style is more than clothing, it’s a declaration of who you are in the Kingdom of God. Through intentional styling and handcrafted pieces, I empower women to walk confidently, authentically, and unapologetically in their divine identity.
I am most proud of never giving up. No matter how hard the days have been, I continue to wake up and show up. Entrepreneurship is not for the weak, it stretches you, tests you, and builds you. It has taught me how to fight for what I believe in and for the vision God placed in my heart.
Even on the difficult days, I choose purpose over pressure. I choose obedience over fear. I choose to keep going.
What sets me apart is that I don’t give up on people.
When others walk away, I lean in. When someone tries to self-sabotage, I challenge the lie. When I see potential, I refuse to let it die.
I push people toward their purpose until they can see in themselves what I already see, and what God has already spoken over their lives. I don’t just support healing; I walk with people until transformation becomes their reality.
What does success mean to you?
Success to me is showing up daily and becoming evolving, healing, growing into the woman God created me to be.
Success is also watching someone I’ve poured into succeed.
There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing someone rise, knowing you helped them believe in themselves again.
