Community Highlights: Meet Angela Lehew of Meadow Farms, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Lehew.

Hi Angela, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Raised on a small family farm in rural South Georgia, I discovered my true calling when my Aunt Ruth taught me how to make soap. That first lesson turned a practical skill into a deep love for homesteading. Over the past ten years, that love has grown into a commitment to crafting clean, chemical-free soaps and balms — a practice that began at home and blossomed into a small, purpose-driven business. Every product is crafted with care and the belief that simple, honest ingredients can make a difference.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My faith in God, the unwavering support of my husband, and my daughter Emily — who is also my business partner — have carried me through hard seasons. A few months after we launched, my sister-in-law lost her battle with ovarian cancer, and the past year has been spent supporting her, my brother, and my two teenage nieces through grief and change. Two months ago, we sold our home and moved to an older farmhouse in Woodbury, and while renovating our home has been intense, Emily and I prepared by making batches of soaps and balms before our move to sustain us during the transition. We’re now selling at events and placing products in boutiques around Peachtree City, Tyrone, and Fayetteville, with plans for more locations soon. The work is demanding, but we love the possibilities our new farm holds.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our soaps and balms are handcrafted in small batches using local grass-fed tallow and certified organic oils and flowers. Each formula is designed to soothe common skin concerns while offering a gentle, pleasant fragrance. Prioritizing sustainability, efficacy, and transparency, we select only ingredients we trust to use on our own family, and partner with local small businesses for tallow, labels, and other supplies to strengthen our community. Every product is thoughtfully crafted to benefit skin health and created from ingredients we stand behind. Our work is an act of service and a reflection of our faith in Jesus Christ. We love serving others through quality products and give back by donating 10% of profits to charities supported by our church and local community. Emily’s favorite Bible verse is printed on every product label…
Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Life on a small Georgia farm and years as a stay-at-home mom taught me self-reliance, careful craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of what my family needs, giving me the confidence to make wholesome, effective products at home.
