Today we’d like to introduce you to EXPO 17.0 .
Hi EXPO 17.0, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
**DESCRIPTION**
We founded EXPO_17.0, that the platform has as founder Davidson CAMEAU and co-founder Thierry MUSEAU in December 2019, the artistic platform emerged in a socio-political context marked by successive “peyi lok” crises. It is both the result of frustrations, anger, and an answer to the question: “As young people, how can we contribute to improving the situation in Haiti? How can we obtain what we need when what politicians offer does not meet our needs?”
By fostering initiatives dedicated to addressing the needs of young people for their growth and development, while actively participating in the creation of these initiatives, we live by our slogan, “NEED IT, CREATE IT.” EXPO_17.0 is at once an artistic platform, a movement, and a project. It acts, raises awareness, and encourages youth involvement in the arts. Our platform is designed to support the flourishing and development of young people.
**MISSION**
To offer spaces, stages, and platforms where art can be showcased, developed, and expressed in various forms.
**VISION**
To build a sustainable ecosystem that generates greater value around art, allowing artists to grow and reach their full creative potential while benefiting from their work.
To provide the art market with a more dynamic and sustainable perspective, contributing to the overall development of the country, with each sector playing a role in this growth.
Beyond our 4 years we’ve realized many art exhibitions, artists accompaniments, art festival and work/collaborate on project with notorious Haitian art platform like LE CENTRE D’ART, FESTIGRAFFITI and many other key partners like BANJ, HAITIBRAND, FACESOFHAITI, CHOKARELLA, CLE FOUNDATION and so on…

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

In 2020-2022 we’ve stopped our operations due to COVID and financial ressources. Many times our events was reported due to insecurity in the capital. Difficulties to find adapted places to our concepts, that we can afford.
