Community Highlights: Meet Femi Adesanya of WSB

Today we’d like to introduce you to Femi Adesanya.

Hi Femi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My family just purchased a new home, so I was looking for some type of safety net God forbid I or my spouse was hit with an unfortunate situation e.g. a health challenge. I wanted something that will avoid us from having to lose out home. Also, as a business owner, I wanted some type of retirement supplement plan that I could contribute into for retirement. I can’t stand seeing older people struggle to make ends meet.

In February 2019, I was fortunate to get Financial Education through WSB, all the workshops I attended provided all the solutions to my financial problems. I decided to join the Campaign and help educate others. Since then, I have never looked back!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s been easy but not simple. Most people lack Financial education and do not even know they do. We are thought to work hard for money, but not how to put our hard-earned money to work. I say it’s been easy because I love what I do and don’t see it as stressful. Financial illiteracy is a form of slavery in my opinion. Until we a financially educated and apply the principles, we will never be free.

Trying to create and share the awareness can sometimes be frustrating because I’m thinking in my mind like, Hello, you need this information for yourself and family, but there’s a limit to how far I can push.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about WSB?
WSB stands for World System Builder. We are a group of people from all walks of life. We have Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Professors, Business owners, Self-employed, and so much more with one Mission and Vision.

Our Mission is to educate all families and individuals, making them more Financially knowledgeable. Our Vision is to educate 30 million families by the year 2030. No family left behind. We offer complimentary Financial Workshops that I believe everyone should invest their time into. It changed my life and I believe there are still millions of lives out there that needs to be changed.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Life is a risk. We take risks everyday, just driving from one point to the other is a risk. Talking to people was never really my thing. I’m more of an introvert, but I love to help others. Embarking on this journey was a risk, but I had to put the needs of others needing financial education over my keep to yourself personality.
