Community Highlights: Meet Jasmine Nove of Nove Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Nove.

Jasmine, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was 17, starting my Freshman year of college at NAU in Flagstaff, Arizona, when I came across a TikTok about social media management! I was already making the drive from Flagstaff to Phoenix nearly every weekend, and the idea of turning that into something productive/a way for me to continue editing videos and designing like I did in high school really appealed to me.

With zero experience, no portfolio, and nothing but confidence, I drove down to Phoenix and walked into 20 different businesses asking if they were interested in social media management services. I got 19 no’s. Right as I was about to head home, I stopped in Tempe and saw a nail salon across from ASU campus. I walked in, pitched one more time, and got my first yes. That one yes became the foundation for everything that followed.

Over the past four years, Nove Media has grown from that initial client to a social media agency working with creatives and service providers across the US. I’ve had the opportunity to fly out to teach social media strategy classes, work directly with clients in person, and build a team that helps execute our vision at scale.

The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. I’ve experienced burnout, had to rebuild systems from the ground up, and learned to delegate instead of trying to do everything myself. Earlier this year, a concussion forced me to completely step away from work, which unexpectedly became the creative reset I needed to refocus on what really matters: building authentic, sustainable strategies for clients who are ready to show up intentionally. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that you don’t need everything figured out before you start. You just need to show up and be willing to adapt as you grow. That philosophy has guided Nove Media from day one and continues to shape how we work with clients today 📂🤍

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely was not a smooth road at first, and honestly i wouldn’t expect it to be when you start a business at 17 with zero experience!! The early days were all trial and error. I had no idea what i was doing (like genuinely none except for knowing I loved editing videos and designing in Canva). I didn’t know how to price my services, set boundaries with clients, or even what a proper contract looked like. I was figuring it all out in real time while trying to look like i had it together for the clients who were trusting me with their businesses (of course they knew I was just starting out but still wanted to seem put together!). There were definitely moments where I sat in my car after a meeting and thought “what am I even doing?”

Even after I had clients I got to work with and was seeing actual results for them, imposter syndrome hit HARD. There was a constant voice in my head asking “who are you to be doing this?” especially being so young in an industry where everyone else seemed to have years of experience or formal education behind them. Learning to trust my own abilities took a lot longer than I’d like to admit despite the tangible results I was seeing for my clients.

As Nove Media grew, I fell into this trap of thinking I had to do everything myself to prove I deserved to be there. I was editing every video, writing every caption, responding to every email at all hours, working basically 24/7 without even realizing how unsustainable it was. I had to make the hard decision to bring on help and release control, which was so much harder than it sounds because it felt like admitting I couldn’t handle it all. But because of this, through all of those struggles, it shaped Nove Media into what it is today. I wouldn’t have the systems, the team, the boundaries, or the clarity I have now without going through every single one of those hard moments.

We’ve been impressed with Nove Media, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Nove Media is a social media agency specializing in content strategy and management for service providers, with a primary focus on beauty/fashion industry professionals.

What sets us apart is our commitment to fully customized strategies. Every client receives a tailored content plan built around their unique brand voice, ideal client, and business goals. No cookie-cutter templates or recycled strategies. Our process starts with an in-depth discovery phase where we understand not just what our clients do, but who they are and who they serve. From there, we build comprehensive strategies including monthly planning, content creation, caption writing, video editing, feed development, and analytics tracking.

What I’m most proud of is the tangible results, clients seeing millions of views, significant follower growth, and most importantly, actual client conversions. The goal isn’t just pretty posts or viral moments. It’s creating content that attracts the right people and turns followers into paying clients. We take a hands-on approach. I’ve flown out for in-person content shoots, taught strategy classes, and built long-term relationships that go beyond being a freelancer. I genuinely believe in the businesses I work with, and that care shows up in every piece of content we create.

What I want readers to know is that social media doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or inauthentic. With the right strategy and support, it becomes a tool that actually works for your business. That’s what we build at Nove Media, sustainable, authentic social media presences that feel like you and convert (because personality content is the only way people can connect with people)!

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the impact I’m able to create, both for my clients and for myself.

For my clients, success means delivering tangible results that actually move their businesses forward. It’s not about vanity metrics like follower counts or viral moments. It’s about creating content strategies that attract their ideal clients, increase conversions, and give them back the time and mental energy they were spending stressing about social media. When a client tells me their calendar is booked out or that they’re finally attracting the caliber of clients they’ve always wanted to work with, that’s success for both of us.

For myself, success is building a business that feels sustainable and authentic. Early on, I equated success with how many clients I could take on or how many hours I was working. Through this, I’ve learned that real success is about creating systems that allow me to do great work without burning out, building a team I trust, and being selective about who I work with so I can show up fully for the people I genuinely believe in.

It’s also about growth, not just in revenue, but in capability and confidence. Success is being able to look back at where I started at 17 with zero experience and see how far I’ve come, while still being excited about where I’m going. At the end of the day, success is when the work I’m doing feels aligned with my values, serves my clients well, and allows me to build something I’m genuinely proud of.
