She began her career in 2015, starting with the modeling group known as “Phenomenally Plush.” This catapulted her into the very first Plus Size Calendar published in the state of Louisiana!! The calendar named “BIG BEAUTIFUL BOSSES” was well-received throughout the capital area of Baton Rouge and surrounding areas!! She is on the cover and featured as the Month of April. She later booked the Phenomenally Plush Fashion show hitting the runway with confidence and grace. After a short period, the calendar was released and Latoya was crowned Beauty of the Year!! The crowning and recognition led to more bookings allowing multiple fashion shows throughout South Louisiana. She was even named “The Show Stopper” due to a gaining fan base and increasing popularity. Latoya competed in the Ms. Full Figured Louisiana Pageant allowing for more gained experience to add to her repertoire.

Only three years ago, Latoya had relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, for a bigger piece of the industry and to gain more exposure and access to the exciting vast industry of modeling. Since being there, she has graced many stages showcasing the walk that earned her the name “The Show Stopper”! Since she has been in Georgia, she has graced many stages showcasing the walk that earned her the name “The Show Stopper”! Also, in her short time that she has been in Georgia, she was given the opportunity to be the spearhead for the Georgia branch of the Ms. Full Figured Pageant. Watch out for this New Peach mixed with that Cajun Flavor!! She’s BOLD She’s BEAUTIFUL She’s BAD- She is LaToya Francois!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Since I took the chance of becoming a Full Figured Model, there have definitely been obstacles that I’ve had to overcome along the way. Being Full Figured, I think that people really don’t understand that there are different types of Full Figured that people are casting for sometimes. I’ve found myself on the “you’re too big” and the “you’re not big enough” on the spectrum at times but throughout it all, I continued to push through and let them know that I am and always be what they are looking for!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My own Brand TCOIS (Turning Curves On In Stereo), is a brand that caters to anything beauty and amplifies anything in stereo. Ms. Full-Figured Georgia Pageant and Ms. Full-Figured Alabama are two branches of the Ms. Full-Figured USA Pageant Brand that the CEO, Ms. Theresa Randolph, presented me the opportunity to bring her Brand to life. The Ms. Full Figured Pageant Brand prides ourselves as Pageantry system where we create a sisterhood between our contestants. We constantly remind our beauties that yes, this is a competition but be are our sister’s keepers.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
What I feel is most important to my success is simply staying humble, being open to learning from others and being ultimately open to growth.
