Community Highlights: Meet Marvin Riggins of Marvogotit

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marvin Riggins.

Hi Marvin, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Since I was a little kid, I’ve always loved fashion. The sneaker industry has always held a special place in my heart. It’s nothing like putting on a new pair of kicks and being the center of attention as you walk into a room. When I decided I wanted to go into business for myself. I figured why not do something I’m passionate about. I started out selling jerseys just as a way to make ends meet. As my business expanded. I decided to branch into more products. Now with my team, we provide shoes. Jerseys, apparel and electronics.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since I started my business at the peak of COVID-19, things haven’t always gone as smoothly as I would like them to. Managing international shipping and handling packages has been a challenge, but I’ve been able to learn and grow from these experiences and work out ways to prevail and deliver exceptional customer service. I’m grateful for challenges because when situations like these arrive, I’m able to better adjust and make the proper judgment call.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Marvogotit provides customers with the latest sneakers and hottest jerseys that are out. I pride myself on giving excellent customer service to those in the Atlanta area and across state lines. We specialize in urban wear and want to make sure you stand out with a purpose. Aside from providing customers with the latest apparel, we provide shoes to the disadvantaged youth across Metro Atlanta. It’s important to show the youth, that it is possible to have a successful business in anything you’re passionate about. I’m always reminded in the back of my head that, “To whom much is given, much is required.” For now I’m encouraging kids to stay in school by giving them new shoes for the year, but my goal is to one day provide scholarships for them.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can support MARVOGOTIT by spreading the word, I always say, word of mouth is the best advertisement. If they want to donate to the scholarship fund or simply support my vision. I can be reached at Marvin.riggins25@gmail.com.
