Stalked College Student Creates her own concealed carry clothing and holster company, I started my business after an unidentified male attempted to follow me home (college dorm) from my job at a late-night dinner. At the time of the event, I had no self-defense tools or training to defend myself. I was stern in confronting him before the situation got serious. But this event was very traumatizing for me. This experience lead me to want to get a firearm for protection. Then I realized that my firearm would need to be carried in a manner that was easy for me to access at a moment’s notice, concealed, and able to fit my fashionable lifestyle. I researched the market there was not many practical holster options for women that fitted my active and professional wardrobe. I am Graduate Student enrolled in Columbus State University WEB MBA in business, now as the manufacture of firearm accessories and apparel for women and law enforcement. My company Cute & Cocky has been successful in many ways. First, Cute & Cocky has been issued utility patents on our products and has been on national radio and advertising campaigns with top brands in the firearms industry. Most recently featured in national firearm articles such as The Women’s Outdoors News, NRA WOMEN, USCCA Magazine as a popular new women’s and law enforcement holster brand.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success has not been easy. The main challenge to starting a holster manufacturing business has been learning the processes for manufacturing products from raw materials to the final product sold to consumers. I had to learn to sew which took months to years to gasps alongside working with different manufactures to finalize prototypes to be tested. Today I manufacturer our FRS-Hoodie, a unique casual concealed carry hoodie with a built in holster (FRS-1)
for faster delivery times and quality products. Jumping into the Firearms Industry, I had minimum knowledge and training when I started my business with firearms. Although I had excellent business acumen in business management and marketing, I had to become accustomed with the firearms and the shooter lifestyle. I seeked help from a firearm professionals and industry expert to help me with training and network for business purposes. Today I am sponsored by Shot Spot Gun Range, where I frequently trained and personally mentored by the Owner John Paulk. It is with his assistance and professional guidance that have lead me to have great connections in the Firearm Industry and opportunities to work with Law Enforcement.

Our Company Cute & Cocky is a women owned firearm accessory and apparel line based in Carrollton, Georgia. We specialize in women and law enforcement holsters best for concealed carry. Cute & Cocky manufactures and sells holsters, custom concealed carry apparel, self-defense tools, and CCW purses. Our new line of business and casual wear line will launch May 2021 Cute & Cocky Fashion, allowing women to match their holster with fashionable clothing options for work or active outdoor errands. Supporters can identify us by our catchy name and slogan #Neverbecompromised.
Also, This year our company launched the Cute & Cocky Tour to promote women’s safety through education, alongside our goal to sell 1 million holsters to women gun owners. We have planned this year to visit 50 states, meeting and training with Certified Firearm Instructors to encourage women to learn to defend themselves and their families. Cute & Cocky as thus far been invited to multiple states, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Ohio, New York, South Carolina and even shooting chapter in Atlanta, GA. TWAW South Atlanta Chapter Leader Daphne Jordan allowed our company to speak and present our products at their local chapter meetings.
We also have a Fashion blog and a private FB group (Cute & Cocky Club) to answer the most important questions concerning holster options, self-defense and personal protection.
How do you define success?
Success is impacting millions of women’s lives through promoting person protection and self-defense. Success is selling 1 Million holsters to women gun owners looking for holster options, while building a brand championed by local heroes such as Law Enforcement, Executive Protection Agents, Professional Businesswomen and men in America.
