
Today we’d like to introduce you to Roy Broderick Jr.
Hi Roy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I bet on myself. I had a vision of what success looked like and I knew that the only way I could achieve it was to jump. What started as a consultancy based on the number of meaningful connections and relationships I established early in my career has blossomed into so much more. I literally built the foundation until I was beyond capacity. That’s when I phoned one of my closest friends, Eshena Roman, to be part of the journey. Over the years, we’ve collectively built Authentique brick by brick.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The path to entrepreneurship is comparable to riding a roller coaster with rocket fuel. If it was easy everyone would succeed, but that’s not the reality. We’ve experienced a spectrum of emotions from joy and pain to sacrifice and success. Through it all, we’ve remained true to our core values of community, culture, and purpose.

The Authentique Agency is approaching its six-year anniversary and our goal is to continue to redefine the traditional agency construct. Since the day we opened our doors, Authentique has been intentional about creating brand campaigns that genuinely reflect multicultural and LGBTQ life, voices, and viewpoints.
As a full-service marketing consulting firm, we understand that leveraging the power of identity is critical. We’ve had the honor to work with a number of amazing brands including but not limited to Atlanta Hawks, American Kidney Fund, Country Music Association Foundation, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, and Papa John’s. We realize that an agency doesn’t come across those opportunities unless they have the ability to create purposeful brand interactions that drive growth and deliver results.
We’ve established a proprietary and strategic model of engagement called Culture+ ®. The approach is essential to who we are as an agency and serves as the guiding light of how we collaborate with clients to construct campaigns, content, creative and messaging.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Authenticity, transparency, and intentionality are the three characteristics we feel are most important to our overall success. We leverage each one of these characteristics when we engage with prospects and clients to provide a unique and unbiased strategic approach.
