Hi Sana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I moved to America 14 years ago from Europe. It completely changed the direction of my life and career. My background is in industrial engineering, and early on I imagined myself following a more traditional corporate path. But after getting married and starting a family, my priorities shifted. I wanted a career that allowed me to be fully present for the people I love while still challenging myself professionally and creatively. I felt drawn to real estate, I got licensed 5 years ago and eventually this year launch my own brokerage, ACE Realty.

That decision led me to build a new path for myself here in the U.S. What excites me most is being able to combine problem-solving, relationship-building, and personal growth in a way that feels meaningful and authentic to who I am today. My engineering background taught me discipline, structure, and analytical thinking, while my real estate experiences taught me adaptability, resilience, and the importance of human connection.

I’m passionate about creating opportunities, continuing to grow personally and professionally, and showing others that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself. Starting over in a new country, building a family, and stepping into a completely different career path has been both challenging and rewarding, and I’m proud of the journey because it reflects both courage and purpose.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest obstacles I faced was having to rebuild my life and career from the ground up. Leaving behind what was familiar and stepping into a completely new culture came with many challenges, both personally and professionally. I also transitioned away from my background in industrial engineering to pursue a path that better aligned with the life I wanted to create for my family.

Balancing marriage, motherhood, being step-mother and building a new career required resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to step outside of my comfort zone. There were moments of uncertainty, but those experiences ultimately helped me grow stronger, more confident, and more connected to my purpose. They taught me that challenges can become opportunities when you approach them with determination and an open mindset.

My family has always been my motivation and the reason I wanted to build a career that allowed me to be present while still pursuing personal and professional growth.
