Today we’d like to introduce you to Ash Brown.
Hi Ash , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The journey of Ash Said It LLC is a decade-long legacy that began with a single, transformative “Day One”. Managing a multifaceted brand as a podcast host, voiceover artist, and live events emcee is like conducting a high-energy orchestra, where the focus shifts between various creative pursuits. However, every empire has a humble beginning, and mine was defined by white lace, professional nerves, and a leap of faith.
My very first paid engagement was not in a studio, but at the altar. After officially forming my company, a couple reached out after following my journey on social media and asked me to serve as their wedding officiant. While I initially felt the weight of the request and questioned if I was prepared for such a pivotal moment, I ultimately chose to trust in my professional capabilities.
The ceremony took place at the breathtaking and lesser-known Flat Shoals Park in Georgia. Surrounded by lush greenery and the roar of a spectacular waterfall, the couple stood at the edge of a cliff to exchange their vows. As I presided over the union with both sets of parents present, I maintained a steady, clear voice, focusing entirely on the beauty of their commitment.
That day was a defining moment for my career. It was more than just a wedding; it was the validation of my business and the realization that my skills held genuine, real-world value. Looking back, that experience at Flat Shoals Park served as the official launch of a service provider who has continued to grow and evolve ever since.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life is defined by challenges, and my most profound journey began during the difficult season of 2013. While I never initially set out to build an empire, my path was shaped by a period of profound grit and grace—specifically, serving as a full-time caregiver for my mother for over three years. That role was the most demanding yet rewarding experience of my life, teaching me lessons of quiet strength and resilience that I still carry today.
When I lost my mother, Donna Theresa, in 2014, I faced the hardest moment of my existence. Navigating the loss while transitioning out of military service left me feeling lost, and I spent a year pouring my energy into building brands for others without having anything of my own to show for it. Eventually, I realized it was time to invest my 13+ years of industry experience into something I could finally call my own: the birth of Ash Said It.
Building this company has been a labor of love defined by conviction. While some questioned the vision, I learned that negative spirits have no place in a house built on purpose, and I made the choice to clear space for light and growth. I believe that if an idea is sitting on your heart, you owe it to yourself to follow through—even if you have to be your own cheerleader at the start.
Today, I am proud to share that the Ash Said It Show has evolved into a global platform. My podcast is featured on major networks like Spotify, iHeartRadio, and iTunes, boasting over 2,200 archived episodes and more than 700,000 streams since 2015.
I have also had the distinct honor of partnering with iconic brands, including The Fox Theatre, State Farm Arena, and Lake Lanier Islands. My journey began with a spark of resilience, and I am here to share that yours can, too.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am Ash Brown, founder of Ash Said It LLC, a lifestyle brand that serves as a platform for inspiration and authentic connection. We are dedicated to radiating positive energy through dynamic broadcast programming, insightful blog content, and engaging social media storytelling. With over a decade of professional experience as a radio announcer combined with the discipline of an honorably discharged military veteran, I have learned that the most powerful frequency we can broadcast is resilience.
At the core of my work is a commitment to depth, integrity, and community. Whether through my long-running podcast—which recently celebrated over 2,200 archived episodes—or strategic media partnerships, I strive to provide content that resonates on a global scale. My journey is built on the belief that purposeful work creates lasting impact, and I am honored to share that journey with an audience that values growth, creative expression, and honest conversation.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
The most profound lesson I have ever had to master is the art of trusting my own instincts, even when the path forward seems unclear. For a long time, my mother, Donna Theresa, was my North Star; I sought her counsel for every decision, both large and small. When she passed away in 2014, I was thrust into a new kind of adulthood and had to learn how to navigate life without my primary sounding board.
In the wake of that grief, I learned a difficult truth: vulnerability can sometimes be a magnet for the wrong people. While I was mourning, some individuals saw my sadness as an opportunity to discourage my dreams or steer me off my path.
I recall a “friend” telling me to abandon my media ambitions to “get a real job,” and others who questioned my decision to become a flight attendant. Even when I was in the early stages of forming my company and excitedly shared the name Ash Said It, I faced instant discouragement from those who could not see the vision.
Looking back, the irony is striking. The voices that tried to keep me small were merely projecting their own limitations. I eventually realized that people who truly love you will never attempt to shrink your vision. Often, others discourage you simply because they lack the imagination to see a dream that was not given to them—or, at times, it is merely a reflection of their own personal insecurities.
The moral of my story is simple: Stand in your truth. That vision in your heart was given to you for a reason, and you do not need a committee to validate your calling. I chose to ignore the noise, trust my gut, and focus on my purpose.
Since then, I have traveled to over 17 countries and built a global brand, Ash Said It LLC, which now boasts over 2,200 archived podcast episodes and more than 700,000 streams since 2015. Trust your gut, protect your peace, and keep moving forward—because those who attempt to bring you down will eventually fall away on their own.
