Conversations with Hasana Muhammad

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hasana Muhammad.

Hi Hasana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Ha SADITYFLAVAZ on August 19, 2019…

First I want to say when you pray and you are sincere, God will answer your prayers…

Back in June 2019, I was In a car accident where my car was totaled which left me out of work, at the time I was driving Lyft ride-sharing service… I had just moved in a new house two months prior and was left devastated of what I was going to do to maintain…

I remember waking up that Saturday morning and I asked myself what am I going to do, to make some income knowing I don’t have a job or car, and then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I got up headed to my kitchen and baked some brownies and cookies and post them to my Instagram and Facebook. When I woke up the following day to so many DMS and likes that I just knew that was my purpose, my calling, because cooking truly brings me joy and I always cooked for a living back in New Jersey where I’m from but moving to Atlanta I was nervous to start a business because I didn’t think I was capable, not having help, not knowing who and how I would start, just so many thoughts and fears. So I decided to start by making videos and going live on Facebook which grew me an audience and following, which got people to asking where are you located, or how can I get my hands on that food. So I started posting dates of pop-ups and places where they could pick up the food, from there I had menus made so people can place orders for catering, family meal plans, meal preps, party trays etc… everything was going great… for the last year or so, however thru social media I gained a following from other states and countries who was also interested in my craft and wanted to enjoy some of those dishes. I was creating, and cuz I’m such a people pleaser I had to go back into the lab and think of a way that I can accommodate everyone and that was the birth of my Cookbook and seasoning, along with my apron line… which I’m currently working on now is my website. My plan this year is to have all my products on my website so everyone across the world can enjoy Ha SADITYFLAVAZ in the comfort of their own homes…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course not… nothing great is… trial and error, brings progress and success. One of my biggest challenges was knowing who your friends are and who your supporters are one thing I’ve learned about going into business for yourself it’s not for the weak, you have to be patient, you have to expect not to get help from friends and family, you have to accept that your biggest cheerleader is going to be a stranger and not a family member, you also have to know that for every no it’s a yes near as long as you stay consistent.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a pull-up chef caterer, which means you can book me for any event and I come ready to put on an experience for you and your loved ones, I specialize in lots of unique dishes one of my most popular dishes is my salmon pasta and banana pudding and I’m most proud of my banana pudding because it was something I got from my dad Salahuddin Muhammad he was notorious for it in New Jersey his pudding was how he took care of his family and now I’m doing the same, so it brings me great joy… and what set me aside from others is that My dishes can’t be copied I make my own seasoning and sauces to give your taste buds a flavor you won’t find anywhere.

What matters most to you? Why?
My customers… because without them I have no business… and without my business my joy my happiness is gone… Because cooking gives me life.
