Conversations with Jael Fehrenbacher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jael Fehrenbacher.

Hi Jael, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got into content creation during a tough time in my life. During that time period I became extremely depressed, so instead of focusing on my problems, I started doing reaction videos to make myself laugh. While it got my mind off my own personal problems, I noticed it was making other people laugh too. When I kept getting responses from people saying ” you made me laugh ” or ” I needed this” I knew I had to keep doing it. If I could make someone smile just 1x a day, it was all worth it.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. Thankfully for me, I haven’t had negative comments on my content. Mostly my biggest obstacle was getting out of my own way!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Since my social media has evolved I now do content focusing of lifestyle & things to do in charlotte. I love to make my videos using voiceovers because it allows me to show more of my personality. I’m most proud of the community I have built over the years and I hope to keep building my community. I think what sets me apart from other creators is I’m not afraid to show the REAL me. I will show my good/ bad days. When I highlight restaurants, I only talk about the places I would eat myself. I believe that if you can’t be 100% with your community, then they can’t relate to you.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Everytime after I make a video to post, I cry afterwards. I’m so scared that people won’t like it or relate to it. Fortunately, I haven’t experienced that yet..not looking forward to that day either..lol.
