Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonice Cromartie.
Hi Jonice , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
No Heels to Heal started in twenty twenty from total knee replacements that I had on my knees at that time it was about healing from that. I was diagnose with stage 4 lung cancer who ever knew that I had a mass sitting on my lungs walking in my first show after the show I was hospitalized to get the mass removed at that time I only needed the chemo treatments. When I was planning my second show I turned it around and made it about healing from something because we all have been healed or delivered from something. The models created a poster board of what they were healed from I knew this journey wasn’t about me it was being a blessing to others letting them know if God delivered me he can do the same for you. The second show I had a poster board of my total knee replacements and being healed from cancer. The show is about healing this is the vision God gave me and every year I put on this amazing show to inspire others I’m a testimony of what God can do. This year will be show number 8 cancer free again its not about me it’s what God is doing in my life for others to see he can do the same for you.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No this has not been a smooth road. I have been dealing with cancer since 2020. I was diagnosed with stage 4, lung cancer was cancer free two years then October 2025 cancer came back now going through chemo and radiation it has been a journey
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What I do is just to be an inspiration to others. I share my testimonies with others to encourage them God gave me the vision so I put it in action and share my story of what I go through on this cancer journey. I’m most proud of beating cancer, not once but twice I held onto my faith and prayed. What sets me apart from others is my faith walk people say they have faith but until its tested do you really have it. You have to hold on,pray, and just believe what you are praying for God will come through
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I would love to take No Heels To Heal Fashion Show on the road to other states if I could bring more souls to christ through my testimony that would be awesome for people to see
