Today we’d like to introduce you to Kingdom Outkasts.
Hi Kingdom, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We met at a Wednesday night Bible study, at a small church in Forest Park, Philadelphia Christian Church, Atlanta. Elijah had recently relocated to Atlanta, and had been watching Pastor O online. Dayja was invited by a family friend, and Brandon had heard about it through friends in the Hebrew faith.
We were some of the few young adults that regularly attended, at that time, so the three of us would fellowship after service, and discuss the word.
One day Brandon introduced the idea of starting a podcast. We were immediately on board. We felt that our shared perspective on faith was unique. There weren’t many creators speaking the way that we were regarding faith and identity as black Americans, and being a team of 3 made us dynamic.
We have had the opportunity to host some great guests, most famously Ron Dalton, the creator or Hebrews 2 Negros, the controversial documentary that got Kyrie Irving suspended.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road had been smooth at times, but challenging in many ways. Coordinating recording time has been a challenge. Preparing relevant and consistent content in a timely manner has been the biggest battle. The content journey has been a learning process in general.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We have a faith based podcast where we discuss various topics such as walking out our faith, interpreting scripture, breaking down the Hebrew meaning of words, current events, alternative thoughts (aka conspiracy theories), and financial news.
We specialize in bringing content that is faith based & Hebrew identity focused. What sets us apart is that we don’t fit in the box of Christianity or Hebrew Israelite camps, we come to bring truth straight from the scriptures.
We’re most proud of our longevity. We could have quit a long time ago, but content creating is a long game play.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
None, we believe that The Most High God is glorified in every share, every new watcher, every episode released. None of this came together by chance.
