Today we’d like to introduce you to Luke Apple.
Hi Luke, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. I completed my undergrad at Slippery Rock University in western Pennsylvania. In 2017, after working at a chiropractic office, I felt the calling to become a Chiropractor. I graduated from Life University in 2021 with my Doctorate of Chiropractic. In 2022 I created Life’s Joy Chiropractic here in Atlanta.
While in Chiropractic school, I had a shift in perspective after being under the care of a few different Chiropractors. There was a deepening of connection to self. In this deepening, I felt growth in all areas of my life. I became a more authentic and loving version of the person I always felt I was. During this time, and to this day, I continue to learn from others, attend seminars, stay curious, and have joy with this journey we call life.
Chiropractic is for people of all ages and all walks of life. It goes beyond pain and to the core of who a person is. It connects us to ourselves and to each other. The adjustment is a dance that opens us up to deeper and truer expression of Self. With this new perspective, we become empowered and extend this consciousness to others in our family and community.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a Chiropractor is a controversial career and lifestyle in itself. Add in the fact that I am a small business owner adds to that. However, I would not have it any other way. I am thankful to be in the position I am in and to help others connect more deeply with themselves. Some struggles include knowing my self-worth and core values when trying to connect with potential business partners and establishing clear boundaries. Other struggles include people not believing Chiropractic could have a positive impact on their lives or them having subpar experiences with other chiropractors in their past.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Chiropractic is about Philosophy, Science, and Art. The Art is the adjustment. I approach each individual as an individual when it comes to the adjustment. No person shows up the exact same as another; and therefore has different needs. I acknowledge that the adjustment is something that is done with someone, not to someone. I believe my acknowledgment of different needs among people sets me apart from others. Atlanta is fortunate to have other chiropractors with the same outlook though! I am in great company. There are just so many people to serve so there can never be too many artful Chiropractors. I also acknowledge that I am not the one doing the healing. It is the individual that is healing themselves. I am proud to take the time and adjust with the integrity of what the person on my table needs rather than just going through the motions.
