Today we’d like to introduce you to Shane Harper.

Shane Harper

Hi Shane, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Growing up in the world of real estate was like having a front-row seat to an ongoing drama. It’s where my passion for interior design first blossomed, a passion that has since become the guiding light of my career. My journey began humbly as my aunt’s assistant. She’s a remarkable figure in the industry, owning her own brokerage, running a real estate school, and managing a contracting company. Working alongside her, I learned not only the ins and outs of real estate but also honed my skills in interior design. This apprenticeship laid the foundation for my own career, as I chose to follow in her footsteps.

Real estate and interior design have become my life’s anchors, two passions that seamlessly blend together. The ability to identify the perfect property and then transform it into a beautiful living space is not just a job but a calling that ignites my creativity. I can’t envision myself in any other profession; it’s as if I’ve discovered my true purpose in the captivating world of properties and aesthetics. With every project, whether it’s helping clients find their dream homes or crafting stunning interiors, I am reminded of how fortunate I am to merge my personal interests with my professional journey, turning dreams into reality for myself and others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Managing a dual career in both real estate and interior design has presented its fair share of challenges. One notable obstacle I’ve encountered is the delicate balance between client expectations and budget constraints. In the world of real estate, clients often come with specific property desires, and navigating their expectations within their financial boundaries requires adept negotiation skills. Simultaneously, in the realm of interior design, clients seek creative and personalized solutions, which sometimes clash with budget limitations. Another challenge has been the demanding nature of tight timelines, where I’ve had to seamlessly juggle property transactions and interior design projects. This has occasionally tested my ability to maintain efficiency and deliver quality results while racing against the clock. Lastly, staying updated with the ever-evolving design trends, real estate market shifts, and regulatory changes has been an ongoing challenge, demanding continuous learning and adaptation to remain competitive and provide the best service to my clients.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My career as both a real estate agent and interior designer has been an exhilarating journey filled with a unique blend of creativity and business acumen. In the world of real estate, I get to be the matchmaker between individuals and their dream homes, finding the perfect properties that align with their desires and needs. This process is not only rewarding but also exciting, as I witness the joy of clients when they find their ideal home. On the interior design front, I transform spaces into breathtaking havens, infusing my artistic flair into each project. The ability to bring a client’s vision to life, to turn a house into a warm and inviting home, is an immensely satisfying part of my work. Together, these two facets of my career allow me to create holistic experiences for my clients, where I guide them not only in finding the right property but also in shaping it into their dream living space. It’s a fun and fulfilling journey, one where I continually learn, innovate, and, most importantly, witness the transformation of spaces and lives.
