Today we’d like to introduce you to BIG PRI$E.
Hi BIG, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in east Atlanta I spent most of my young life riding around with my mom in an old Honda civic.
I was exposed to all of my beginning inspirations of music. Artist like: OutKast, Erica badu, zap band, ludacris, future, jeezy, young dro, t.i., shawty lo, rich kids, two chains etc.
I was in a boy band when I was 7 which helped me find my love for music and dance even more.
By 16 I started writing and preforming original music at my church called world changers. They gave me my first Chance to preform for a Grammy nominated artist by the name canton jones.
Years pass and I start taking music a lot more seriously. Some ups some downs, some learning how the industry and the people in it work.
I found there isn’t a lot of genuine people on this industry besides a few good people I call my friends.
Im forever thankful to jadatradez for helping me find my way in networking. Women have and always have been my biggest supporters and they have been my main business partners, and collaborators. I’m thankful for them.
Non the less to say the way I got to where I am now. The brands, the labels, the network and relationships have moreover came from women in trusting me with this musical talents.
2025 I signed my first partnership deal with United Masters drop my single “Holla” with Kaviar Sundays then songwriting took off.
Multiple placements with labels and brands and other artist propelled me into where I am now. A Swiss Army knife of genuine connections. I want to make all my people rich.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Honestly fake people. People will tell you they love you or your sound and be the first to hate when an opportunity comes along for you to succeed.
Tell you that something is not what they see as “up to standard ” but then it works and goes viral for your following count.
Speaking of followers iv been cast aside because of where my followers where at a moment but soon as someone of status outwardly says they like my work or want to work now it’s “we need to have a meeting”
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an artist and songwriter for other artist and music labels.
I also help with brand relations, I love to be that missing part between you and a brand or event venue etc.
Especially when both are great for each other u love to play match maker. If I can make my people some money it feels so good to be apart of the reason.
And I also hold creative studio sessions where you can come and connect with A&Rs, labels, music legends, Atlantas hottest DJs and artist to make a melting pot of creativity.
The goal is to give artist cheap studio time (recording music) with the goal
Of it being free with help of sponsors.
I want us to get back to DJs braking new artist. Only way to do that is to get them
In the same room and make music to get clubs moving. It takes us all to make a change in ATL. Ego has real hurt the city and I want to change that.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
It’s a risk everyday to come out here and work within spaces like this but I would said it’s less of a risk when put strategy and numbers over just trying something for fun. Time is money and I can just be out here winging it. I say it’s more about just making the effort and be willing to go broke behind you. I have and it has worked out.
