Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Henry.
Hi Chad, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well my photography journey started by just taking pictures of families and friends off their phone they would say I was really good at taking them just by off the phone so by so around April of 2018 I decided to actually take it a lil bit more serious so I had ask my mother to lemme use the camera and see what I can make of myself out of it I didn’t have money to get my own camera yet so she decided to let me borrow hers and it was Nikon once I got the camera I gathered up my homeboys at a location and I started taking pictures because you know you gotta start somewhere and they was up to being my practice models while I was learning the ins and outs of the camera it started to get better but yet I still had long ways to go I had did my first shoot and that was a birthday shoot but one thing I had to really get over myself was procrastinating and playin with my own potential that my homeboys saw in me more than I did in myself it’s like for a second I was just having the camera just to say I have it.
But in 2020, during the pandemic, I would say it was a real low point for me. I didn’t know what I could make of myself anymore was feeling like I had no purpose, but it gave me time to think that I should never give up, so I thought back about the camera I gave my mother aback her Nikon and with the money I saved up I used it to invest into my own camera that I’m using to this day a Canon EOS Rebel T7 after I invested into my own camera equipment I wasn’t just taking pictures just to take it but I was shooting for a purpose to let people see what I’m capable of and to let them know my vision is clear after I slowly but surely was getting more people to come to me for shoots because they saw I had the potential and after every shoot its always something I learn more about every time to me, you can not know too much about photography, it comes with a lot instead of just taking the picture and editing but this what signed up for and what I planned to make a career out of it safe to say I found my calling.
With Also The Help Of My Brothers of BiinRich ( Party Promoting Team That I’m In ) For Supporting me in every way possible is nothing but love for them boys and It’s Vice Versa We Help and Support Eachother Out I See My Self Just A Photographer Any More But A Young Artist Who Is Tryna Leave a Legacy Behind
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It kinda has but then again, it hasn’t. It comes with ups and downs but just that’s how’s life is it’s comes with ups and downs especially with what your passionate on doing one of the struggles were for me to get out my comfort zone and to actually put myself out there and get me out there on the map as a upcoming photographer because nobody is going to do it for me but me and also for me feeling like I let some folks down who wanted a shoot but. I was able to provide because the main reason is transportation. But I didn’t let that stop me I always find a way to get to my clients and give my clients what they want so they’ll be able to come back.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I do photography I specialize into bringing people vision and my vision to life and what I’m most proud of now is to getting my LLC. Taking my business to the next level and what separates me from others is I think outside the box I don’t just don’t shoot people I shoot anything and everything possible because people aren’t just art. Animals are art nature is art even the sky is art I dint always wanna be in the studio type of photographer I like to shoot outdoors indoors anywhere possible to bring the vision I see to life.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice is to never give up always keep striving to be the best you can be. Never let one person’s opinion of your work make you feel like your work can’t get any be better or ain’t up to par with others they see everyone’s not gonna like your work but the thing is your work of art isn’t gonna be for everybody’s liking if this is really what you wanna do and you set your mind for it then go for it the sky’s the limit.
