Daily Inspiration: Meet Kasey Giles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kasey Giles.

Kasey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Photography has always been a part of my life. I started my business as a young adult and poured a lot of myself into it early on. After getting married and having children, I stepped back to focus on my family, and during that time my camera was mostly used to document my own kids and the small details I never wanted to forget.

About four years ago, I felt drawn back to photography and began rebuilding my business. That season of motherhood gave me a deeper perspective on how meaningful everyday memories are, and it continues to shape my work today. My faith is at the center of everything I do, and it influences the way I see people and the way I photograph each story.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wouldn’t say the road has been especially difficult, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. My husband has been one of my biggest supporters from the very beginning, which has made such a difference. The biggest challenge has simply been balancing a growing business with raising four young children. I’ve learned to be intentional with my time and to give myself grace during busy seasons.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I photograph a little bit of everything, but I primarily specialize in families, couples, and motherhood. My favorite part of photography is getting to know the people in front of my camera and creating images that feel genuine to them.

What I’m most proud of is being able to give families memories they’ll be able to look back on and cherish for years to come. It’s something I never take for granted. I also hope every client leaves feeling comfortable and cared for, and that their photos truly reflect who they are. My goal is simply to preserve this season of life as honestly as possible.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that the ordinary moments are often the ones that become the most meaningful. Photography has taught me to slow down and notice the little details that are so easy to overlook, and those often end up being some of my favorite images. While posed portraits have their place, it’s usually the small, in-between moments that tell the story of a season of life and become the memories people cherish most.
