Today we’d like to introduce you to Kwaunterius Parker.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up figuring things out with my hands — fixing things, building things, creating things. That curiosity turned into skills across multiple trades, from painting and murals to HVAC and home repair. Every step taught me discipline, patience, and how to serve people with excellence. Now I’m building a multi‑trade business and a creative brand that reflects who I am: someone who solves problems, creates beauty, and keeps growing.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had to learn everything the hard way — balancing multiple trades, building trust one client at a time, and figuring out how to run a business while still doing the work myself. There were moments where money was tight, jobs were inconsistent, and I had to teach myself skills that other people had formal training for. But every challenge made me sharper, more disciplined, and more committed to growing.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a multi‑trade service professional and artist based in Atlanta. I specialize in HVAC diagnostics and repair, interior and exterior painting, murals, drywall, plumbing, and electrical work. People know me for my consistency, my attention to detail, and the pride I take in every project — whether it’s fixing a system, transforming a room, or creating a mural that becomes the centerpiece of a home or business.I’m most proud of the fact that I built all of this from the ground up. No shortcuts, no handouts — just skill, discipline, and showing up for people. What sets me apart is that I bring both technical expertise and creative vision. I can solve problems, elevate spaces, and deliver work that feels personal, intentional, and high‑quality. My goal is always the same: leave people better than I found them.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor and networking hasn’t been about luck for me — it’s been about being intentional. What’s worked best is reaching out to people with a clear purpose instead of a vague ‘let’s connect.’ I focus on building relationships by offering value first, asking smart questions, and showing consistency. I’ve learned that mentors don’t always come from formal programs — sometimes they’re people you meet through work, social media, or community groups who see your drive and want to help. The biggest thing that’s worked for me is staying genuine, following up, and treating networking like building real relationships, not transactions.
